Upon arrival at reception on the mainland of Nha Trang you know you have arrived somewhere special. The friendly staff greets you with a lovely cool welcome drink and cold towel whilst you wait for your luggage to be boarded onto the luxury cruiser which will transport you to and from the resort. Vinpearl Luxury is located on an island just of the coat of Nha Trang which can be reached by boat or by cable car. It has only been opened for a few months and it seems the word is yet to get out as it was very quiet whilst we were there.
My partner and I stayed 3 nights at this blissful resort and we both wished we had booked a few more nights! Upon arrival we were advised that we had been upgraded to a poolside villa which had it’s own pool at the back and fronted onto the massive resort pool with brilliant views of the ocean just beyond. The friendly staff also advised us that buffet meals for breakfast , lunch and dinner would also be included free of charge during our stay. Can only guess that this is because the resort is so new and I guess they want the staff occupied and able to practise the skills they have learnt during their training.

The Poolside Villa was just divine!!! Beautiful timber floors, absolutely massive comfortable bed, huge Sony TV which has free movies and internet. The room also has a comfy couch and desk area. The one thing my partner loved was the electronic control panel by the bed which operated the lights, air-conditioner and even opened and closed the curtains!! This room certainly has all the mod cons including complimentary Wi-Fi. The bathroom was gorgeous which a large freestanding bath and a rain shower. Oh and the pillow menu will ensure you have just the right pillow for that perfect night’s sleep. The private pool is small but you really won’t use it that much with the massive resort pool and beach on your doorstep.
The pool at this place was huge one of the best I have experienced and having the ocean a few steps away makes it perfect in my book. As there weren’t many people staying here we had it to ourselves a lot of the time! The ocean is great for swimming and there are plenty of sunbeds available. The gym is set in an over the water building with beautiful views to occupy your mind whilst you workout. Equipment is all new as you would expect but the actual gym is not that big and can get a little warm so recommend working out in the morning.
Important to not get this place confused with the other Vinpearl resort on this island which has been around for a number of years and is cheaper and a lower standard of accommodation. My partner and I had look around this other resort and it is a very big resort with hoards of people and kids. Ensure you look for Vinpearl LUXURY when searching for accommodation deals!!!
Also located on the island is a Theme Park and Water Park which is all included free of charge, I imagine this would be a great drawcard for people with kids and have to admit even us big kids loved the Water Park. The Theme Park has about 6 main rides and also has an indoor park with video games, 4D cinema, dodgem cars etc and all free!!!
The Blue Lagoon restaurant where all the buffet meals are served is a lovely setting, I have to admit I am not a big fan of buffet meals on holidays and would never pay to have it included in my stay but when it is offered free what else are you to do? The food was pretty good, they have tried to cater for all cuisines as a lot of their guests are from either Vietnam, Russia, Australia/UK. The stir fry’s and pastas that they cook fresh for you are just beautiful! Deserts are so-so and become a little boring, which is good for the hips I guess. Drinks are pretty expensive to those I have experienced in the rest of Vietnam.
There sure is an abundance of staff at this resort but I think they still need a little work on their service skills, those in the restaurant were wonderful and so too were those at reception. It was just some little things like limiting you to one towel by the pool and one bottle of water in your room each day, but these are very minor details which I am sure they will iron out with time.
All in all I cannot speak highly enough about this resort, we would have stayed longer if could have and we have vowed to go back soon. I am sure the crowds will soon ascend upon this place so get in quick and book yourself some time in paradise before the word gets out.More
