i can't believe tripadvisor tankings, when such a hotel is ranked Nr 4 in Nha Trang!
we arrived to this hotel, and had to sign out the next day.
1) in order to get to the beach you need to cross a very loud road with intensive traffic
2) the beach is public and dirty. its a dump, which i didnt dare even to come close to.
3) from very early morning of our stay, there was a very load construction work going on in the hotel by the pool. i dont know how others tolerated it, but we just packed and left immediately to Evanson hotel, which is lower in the ratings than Sunrise, that is quite funny i think..

I had a three weeks stay at Sunrise and it is a great pleasure of recommending this hotel. The staffs are very friendly and service minded. The sea view is excellent and so is the pool area – and during my stay in January I went to sleep well in a nice bed to the sound of the slightly roaring waves. Also, the week-end BBQ buffet dinner is very good value or money.

We booked to stay 7 nights and wished we had chosen a different hotel. It was certainly the worst we have stayed in during our 3 weeks in Vietnam. We arrived at the hotel at 13.00 and told our room would be ready shortly. We were still waiting way past the official checK in time of 14.00. I went to the reception several time to inquire what was happening and was told the room was being prepared. When we were eventually shown to our room on the 7th floor, what a disappointment. Shabby furniture with chipped doors on the wardrobes. A very dated bathroom with shower over the bath and horrible curtain. How this hotel can possibly be rated 5 star I do not know. A very poor way to end what had been an excellent holiday.

We arrived very early at the hotel from the overnight train and the staff was friendly and accommodating. They allowed us to check in early and even gave us adjoining rooms since there were 4 of us. We were able to enjoy a leisurely breakfast (which is one of the best ones that I've had in terms of choice and freshness) and enjoyed a relaxing day by the beach. We took cabs to most places but the Sunrise is only about a 5 min ride from the main street. The pool was never too busy and the staff very friendly and helpful.
