“Great boutique hotel in phnom Pehn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 February 2012 via mobile

This is one of the best hotels I stayed in Cambodia. I was traveling alone. They gave me a big room on the top flor. The for bitter was elegant and I had all the comfort. The room was so big with an excellent air conditioning system (this is important in Cambodia!!!)... They had a nice restaurant on the ground floor and a shop with bio products (also Italian ones!!)..

“Clean, bright, spacious”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 February 2012

I tried to book at the Pavillion hotel which had been recommended to me but they were full and suggested I try The 240 instead.

The room was very large, big spacious bed & a sepearate day bed. Very clean and bright, and a really nice view into a park behind the hotel. I only stayed for one night so didn't really get much chance to experience the service, but the staff seemed friendly enough.

The power went out twice, once it came back on immediately but the second time it was off for about half an hour which was a bit of a pain as I needed to have a shower but the bathroom was pitch black. Not really their fault that the power went out but when I asked if they knew what had happened or when it would be back on they didn't seem to understand me and just laughed. So I just returned to my room and waited.

I didn't have the included breakfast but the attached organic cafe does provide nice food & fresh fruit juices.

“Excellent boutique hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 February 2012

Great hotel at a good rate. Rooms are spacious and clean. Our room also had a balcony with a small outdoor pool that we didn't use. The restaurant downstairs serves good food with focus on organic health fare.
There is a new condo building being built right across the road at the time we were there (Feb 2012), which impacted the view and added some noise, but enough to negatively affect our experience.

The area (240 St) is pleasant and safe to walk around at day at night.

“Excellent hotel in buisy Phnom Penh”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 February 2012

We are staying in the 240 for 3 nights (still there), during our Cambodia trip. The hotel looks terrific! What is very noticeable when you arrive, is the cleanliness of the place, amazing! The rooms (we stayed in room 8) are very large and spacious, as is the balcony.

I usually dislike shower cabins, as I always bump my elbows on the doors and walls, but in the 240 however, even the shower is "grand", love it! There's one thing you should know about the hot water tap though; to get hot water, turn it to the right, instead of to the left. In other words, shower as you always do, only turn the knob the other way around...easy!

The 4 poster beds are provided with beautiful nets (more a sort of sheer fabric), excellent mattresses and best pillows so far. There also is a "night switch" on the aircon and the flatscreen is large enough to have a look at any international channel from the comfort of lying on your 4 poster bed. Bliss after a dusty day in Phnom Penh.

We also made use of the swimmingpool, around the corner, at the Pavillion (same owner), where they provide (nicely smelling) fluffy towels and 4 poster daybeds with lots of cushions to chill out and enjoy a nice nap....

If your looking for a spotlessly clean and very comfortable hotel, centrally located (3 minute by tuktuk to Royal Palace, 10 minute to S21), with good restaurants around? Stay here!!!!! You'll love it! Enjoy....

Room Tip: The rooms are all lovely...
