“Great location, I would definitely stay again”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

This is great small hotel tucked away down a small walkway near the National Museum. You can walk to EVERYTHING. Shops on street 240, Royal Palace, Museum, restaurants, and the water front. Service is very good. Nice courtyard to sit in and eat breakfast. Breakfast was fine, nothing fancy. Rooms are large and reasonably price. I would stay here again for sure.

Room Tip: There did not seem to be an elevator so if you have a problem with stairs make sure you ask for a ro...

“A hidden gem”

What a lovely stay we had at the Frangipani Fine Arts. The hotel is tucked in an alley way, hidden from the bustle of the street outside. The location was close to so many things - FCC, Friends restaurant, museums, the art district and great street food across the road.

The hotel staff arranged for tuk-tuks to pick us up from the boat dock and for a tuk-tuk for the day the the following days outings. The breakfast was lovely and the room incredibly beautiful with a simple but elegant and arty feel overall. I traveled with my teen daughters and a friend. We had two rooms. One with a balcony, the other with a door that opened but no balcony. Both had furniture that was kmer style and modern art flare. The only suggestion I have would be to put a couple of chairs on any rooms that have balcony's.

I also stayed in the Siem Reap Hotel which is equally wonderful in different ways.

The hotel staff were friendly and informative and helpful at both. I'd stay at their hotels again in a heartbeat. I think that any negative comments come from people expecting Ramada Style western rooms... remember people we are traveling in the developing world. The Frangipani hotels offer much more than what we'd get for the same price in the USA.

“Wonderful service, great location, stylish design, excellent value.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

This hotel stands out for the superb service provided by all staff (who all had excellent English) and its classy design. They have thought of everything you might want and more. The rooms and courtyard lounge and dining area are lovely, generous spaces and a peaceful oasis in the seething city.
Only 1 block from the National Museum and another from the Palace, but down a lane from the noise of the street, the location couldn't be much better.
Good breakfast (although understandably less choice than in a big hotel).
Only two minor gripes: a slightly unpleasant smell in the room which we got used to a few minutes after entering, and the water wasn't always hot.

“Great Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

booked 2 rooms at this hotel using wotif.com. Very good location and rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. We had rooms with balconies facing the internal courtyard. Communicating with hotel directly via email sometimes difficult as never got confirmation of airport pick-up. Staff are competent and efficient. Very helpful. Enjoyed our 3 night stay very much. Will stay here again.

“Loved it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

I pre-booked and paid for a room for two at the Frangipani Villa Hotel over Christmas only to receive an email that I had been "upgraded". I was immediately dubious (thinking maybe nobody wanted to stay there and so wanted clientele etc etc). However, I was more happy with the hotel. The staff were super-helpful and the room was beautifully appointed with a garden view and little touches like scented oil being burned in a corner. As a journalist, I travel frequently and this will be one of my "return to" hotels when in Phnom Penh. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the ground-floor rooms with a private garden courtyard.
