“Overpriced shaggy hotel”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 February 2011

We stayed one night at the imperial garden hotel and it was enough.

When we ssee the room we wanted to move to another hotel but the reception had already asked us to pay $95 for the room.

The room was dirty : mosquitoes stains on the walls, dirty coverbed and carpet.
It was the worst hotel we stayed in Cambogia. The whower curtain was also very dirty.

There was a sauna next t the swimming pool and the wood was roten.

The breakfast buffet was not as nice as told by the reception.

Worst value hotel.

“Nice hotel but a bit far from sightseeing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 December 2010

The hotel is part of a large complex of villas which are rented long term. We didn't use the pool, the food was average although the breakfasts were quite interesting. We were there during the River Festival, so the location made it very noisy as we had a room which faced the river. The room was nice & spacious.

“A beautiful riverside resort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 August 2010

Quiet efficient service. The staff is very polite and attentive. The breakfast spread is among the best I've had - the selection and table presentation of fresh fruits is awesome. The hotel pool is beautiful.

The campus is huge and well spread out. The place has long stay accommodation - we saw a lot of cars, so obviously there are a lot of people. But there is no noise or hustle-bustle.

The buildings are all Khmer style, so you feel that you are staying in another era.
The only minus is the wireless internet access in the rooms you have to come down to the pool to get a decent speed.

“too expensive and a few dissapointments”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 August 2010

the hotel wasnt too bad, it had a nice enough poolside area, rooms were a bit shabby for the price. but what annoyed me was firstly a few things got stolen from our luggage when it was being looked after before the flight. secondly was i asked for a taxi to go to the killing fields and s21- for a 3hour trip. they said $30USD. we knew this was too expensive, they said we will try another firm. again $30. we showed them several brochures saying it was $25 for the whole day, that was with a tour guide. they said ok, now we have you one, $20 for a taxi(remember we only wanted a taxi not a tour guide. the taxi man (who was very helpful, nice and excellent guide) told us the hotel would take half of his $20 and not to say anything to them or they wouldn't phone him again. we then saw he had to hand them over half of his pay. i payed him extra and we said we would tell the hotel. i was annoyed with this because a/ we did not ask for a tour but for a taxi and secondly they are taking money that should be going to poor taxi driver. i know Asia often works on commissions but this was disgusting blatent robbery of both the hotel customer and the taxi driver. that with the theft of our things i would not go back here- the casino is cheaper and a million times more luxurious!!!
