“Great find in Eilat”

This hotel wound up being a super pleasant surprise. We had two room suites that were spotless and very modern. We rented two of them for four people, but could have almost managed with one (the couch in the living room could have slept two people). The people working there could not have been nicer. We arrived several hours before the regular check in time, but they worked hard to get us our rooms. The lovely concierge booked tickets for attractions for us. The biggest surprise was the food. I had somehow missed that two huge buffet meals a day were included in the price. The food was outstanding - something for everyone and it was all extremely fresh and well presented. We were there during Chanukah and they had nice entertainment for the children. If you go, you can walk there from the airport - we got ourselves talked into a cab at the airport, but it was not necessary.

Dear Carol,

Thank you for your positive review and for taking the time to write it. We are so glad you had such a lovely time in Eilat with us. We are very proud of the delicious breakfast and dinner buffets that we offer our guests and it seems that you enjoyed them both. We look forward to seeing you again on your next visit to Israel.

“Delighted!”

We stayed here on our way to Petra. After reading some reviews, e worried we had made a poor choice. But the hotel is great. It's not a 5-star resort. But the rooms are small suites with balconies. They are clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included and was a full buffet in a restaurant.

“Great”

We have been there a lot of times, and we keep staying, so... that is the recommendation.
The rooms have been renovated recently, carpets, curtains, furniture, so they look very nice.
The food is always good (for our taste, of course) and a lot of variety, for breakfast and supper.
There is a kitchen corner with a small refrigerator, a sink and cupboard, and an electric kettle, cups and teaspoons. So you can sit in your balcony and drink your coffee (or whatever you like to drink) without extra cost.
For families, it's a great solution cause you can keep the kid's food in the fridge and not go to a restaurant each tiem they want a snack (or even warm up the baby-bottle)

“Why is this hotel ranked so high?”

We spent two nights at this hotel in Dec. 2011 - family of five. The room was hot - air-conditioning was not working - they told us it is shut down. The carpet, the sheets, the blankets were worn out. They did not clean our room until we called them after returning from an all day trip. Would not stay here again.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your candid feedback. We take guest reviews very seriously and use them to constantly improve our service and amenities. I am sorry to hear you were not satisfied with the decor of the hotel. We renovated the Nova in 2011 and placed beautiful new carpets throughout the hotel. Thus although the carpet is not brand new it is under a year old.

Concerning the air conditioning, I am sorry you were unable to turn the air conditioning on. However like many hotels the Nova has a central heating and cooling system. Thus because it was winter when you visited and the average temperature is 63°f (17°c) the air conditioning is turned off. However, you can still control the temperature within a range.

In regards to the housekeeping, we at Nova ensure that all guest rooms are cleaned everyday. I apologize if it was not cleaned as early as you like. We are looking into to this matter in further detail to resolve the issue. Please feel free to contact us if you have any other concerns.

“Great stay as a Petra way station”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 December 2011

My husband and I spent one night at the Nova Like in Eilat after coming back to Israel from Petra. We arrived after dark and the hotel was very easy to find from the road coming in from the border. The service was great, the parking and wi fi are free which made the price for the room a great value for us. The hotel is not near the beaches so if you are going to Eilat for beach/vacation I don't know if this is a good location. They do have a large pool area but it is December and we were just there to rest up for our drive back north the next day. The hotel is a few blocks from Eddie's Hideaway restaurant which was a great dining experience.
The breakfast is very good, a cut above some other places we stayed during our trip.
