“Great rooms, facilities could be improved”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

We stayed again at this hotel for two nights and booked a triple room (three adults and one baby). The room was very spacious with a little balcony, clean and nicely furnished; staff was very helpful when we requested extra towels and water.

However, we couldn't have any meals in the hotel as all restaurants were closed by 8pm, and the following day everything was booked because of a wedding. Also, the underground parking closed at midnight, forcing us to go up the steps to the hall in freezing weather with a four week old baby.

With a couple of improvements on their restaurant and parking policies, this hotel could be perfect!

“Amazingly Great Value HOTEL in SEOUL!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

honestly, we were a bit nervous when we booked the hotel through Hotels.com, and as I read some of its reviews, it made me breath a little easier, the first walk we had to do to get the hotel, was expected since they said that the hotel was a few meters from the bus stop. And unexpectedly, there was a bus stop direct for Hotel PJ.

The Hotel facade was great and the doorman was most welcoming! Their entrance has a conveyor to get your heavy luggage up their stairs. And even when we were checking in all of the staff knew english and all was willing to help.

When we got to the room it was even better, it was nice clean and modern. The Bathroom had a tub and the room that we got even had a veranda/terrace for all guests who are smokers, or if you simply want to hang out. The "modern-esque" feel of the room and the comfort-ability was superb. And to top it all of, once you get down from your room and start to go down from the elevator to the front door, you will receive a barrage of hospitality from the Hotel staff who are all itching to help you if you need it.

I would even have to recommend the doorman, wearing that brown winter jacket, who never fails to ask and say: Good morning! Where are you going today? (ready to assist you on the roads or modes of transportation you need to take to get to that Korean place you'd want to visit.

This may be the best tourist hotel in Seoul! 5 out 5 stars for me!

And of course that additional plus for their free shuttle bus to take you to places like: Myeongdong Market, Namdaemun Market, Dongdaemun Market, Etc.

“Great and personal hotel with best tour group guide offer”

This is my 1st time in Korea and I've booked PJ hotel thru Agoda and based on the reviews I have read on trip advisor. No regrets and I really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. It's a little bit out of way since we walked at 6am from chungmoro station up to the hotel dints very cold. The streets were dark and we were afraid of muggers (none whatsoever). We were pleasantly surprised by the appearance of pj when we saw it, it beautiful, cozy and looks new. Unfortunately no early check in and were asked to stay at the 8th floor business lounge while were waiting for an available room. We were able to rest and sleep here and our room became available at 11am. An early check in rate of $37 was asked but we didn't care because of our exhaustion. The triple room deluxe was big, with comfy beds and the toilet was really nice with heated seats. We are very satisfied with this hotel except for the food at the buffet, they could use some improvement in the taste department. Now I know the reason why breakfast is not available via booking with Agoda, the food is not really appetizing. Overall, aside from the food, our stay in this hotel is very satisfying. Another thin is we were able to book our tours with the front desk, using Korea Tours, Co. And we are very happy with this tour group. They took care of all our needs, they really do their homework about the important facts and history of their country. We were pleasantly surprised that their CEO, Mr. Peter Kim was the one who personally accompanied us to our tour destinations. He is a national treasure, and very knowledgeable about Korea. Tis is one of the highlights of our stay, aside from the hotel, we really enjoyed the tour guide company that took care of us. The rates are very reasonable, tours very informative and not hurried. We really loved it. If I go back to Korea I will definitely stay in this hotel and book Korea Tours again (www.koreatour.co). Thanks PJ hotel and Mr. Peter Kim for the best Korean experience.

“Good hotel at great location”

Stayed at this hotel for about 4 days. The staff at the check in counter were all very nice and well mannered. They suggested us a few good places to go and how to take better transport to avoid traffic jam. The hotel is closed to MRT, restaurants, shops in walking distance. Hotel rooms are a bit pricey but i'll recommend this for everyone who intends to visit seoul.
