This hotel, like most of Mombasa at present, is suffering from a lack of tourists, but still it made a great effort to be welcoming and enjoyable. The breakfasts, lunches and dinners, are self service - but don't be put off. The chefs are there behind every delicious offering to help. The food is immensely varied at every meal time, and for dinner, you are "summoned" to the restaurant by the chefs drumming and singing in Swahili to welcome you in. The staff are helpful and attentive at all times, fluent in English and German. The only drawback is the wifi, which I couldn't get in my room, despite the technician's best efforts. The manager, Katrin, was always a presence.More
