We stayed here for four nights while visiting Beijing and the Great Wall. We were in one of the Executive rooms, which gives you lounge access with free food and drinks. The service was faultless, as you'd expect in a hotel like this, and the concierge was very helpful with organising taxis and a trip to the Great Wall. The location isn't great - a bit outside the centre, but taxis are cheap enough that it really wasn't a problem.
I'd love to use the Shangri-La chain again, but anywhere outside China I doubt if I could afford it!!!

hotel is old and breakfast is very normal if we can compare with other shangri-la hotels, anyway overall it's okay as i have a good sleep over night.

Make sure you have a drink and some snacks at the 80th floor bar called atmosphere. Definitely the best night view of Beijing.

Stayed there during a business trip. The hotel is excellent, with good facilities and services. However its location, which is on the west side of Beijing, makes going to meetings in the main business district (CBD), which is more on the east side of the city, quite difficult.
