“Great place to stay near the airport”

First of all, after the long-haul flight from the US, its nice to collect your bags and walk 20 feet to the hotel shuttle, and bam, a four minute ride and you're at the hotel. The hotel is nothing like we one is used to for airport hotels. It has striking views, a personable staff, and beautiful rooms. I was only there for 12 hours and especially enjoyed the Chinese breakfast. The room was clean, spacious, with a pleasing color palette. I would definitely stay there again.

“Upgrade to Executive Level”

Having spent 2 nights here my way to Vietnam, I must say that spending the extra for Executive Club level was money well spent! Enjoyed breakfast & dinner with drinks overlooking the harbour.
The free shuttle bus from HKIA & Tung Chung was great. I will return to the Skycity Marriott!

“Great location with very nice amenities”

We recently stayed at the Hong Kong SkyCity Marriott because we had an early morning flight and didn’t want to feel rushed or pressed for time having to get from the city to the airport in time. They have a quick 5-minute ride shuttle that takes you directly to the airport terminal entrance. In getting to the hotel, we took the Airport Express train, which departs from the Hong Kong and Kowloon stations, and got off at the Asia World Expo (which is the end of the line). From the station to the hotel entrance, there is a clearly marked route that only takes about 10 minutes.
Check-in went smoothly and our bags were delivered to our room shortly after we had arrived to it. The room was very clean and well appointed. They had complimentary bottled water and a rather lengthy channel listing. The bathroom was bright and our room had a shower, no tub. The hallways are rather lengthy if you have a room that is on the opposite end of the hotel from the elevator bays.
We did not dine at the hotel; however, they did have two restaurants and a lobby lounge where food could be purchased.
The hotel does have a complimentary shuttle that takes you directly to the CityGate Outlets, which has lots of shopping and dining options. There was a dedicated drop-off/pick-up spot with times clearly posted.
The hotel does boast a nice recreational facility. It has a rather large gym with floor to ceiling windows and an extensive selection of equipment. The pool was rather chilly so we did not stay in it for long, but the pool area was well kept and serene. There were separate men’s and women’s dressing rooms. Each dressing room had lockers, restroom facilities, a sauna, a steam room, a small hot tub, and showers. The showers had shampoo and body wash dispensers and there were various toiletries available for your use.

“Nonchalant About False Alarm”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 February 2012

We stayed here twice in February for an overnight between flights, and we found it very convenient to the airport. Facilities are new and the fitness room has excellent equipment and a superb indoor pool. Breakfast was a buffet with wide choices, but not exceptional (for example, pastries and breads seemed to be made off premises in a very mundane commercial bakery).

However, on our second stay we were very annoyed to be awakened at 3:00 a.m. by a piercing fire alarm. There had been a notice in the room that a test of standby electrical generators would occur between 1:30 a.m. and 4:00 a.m.--but nothing about a fire alarm at 3:00 a.m. So, naturally, we were concerned, tried to discover whether there was an emergency or just a false alarm, and could not get a response on the phone ("all lines are busy; your call is important; please stay on the line, etc"). After about 10 minutes of shrill noise, the alarm stopped, and we tried unsuccessfully to go back to sleep. Although a false alarm could happen to anyone, the lack of any information about the real situation was potentially dangerous. And worst of all, the clerks at the checkout counter seemed totally nonchalant about our polite complaint--they didn't seem to care.

Room Tip: An upgrade including breakfast for two cost about $50 and also provided access to the executive loun...

“Very convenient stay at airport for one night”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 February 2012

Excelent choice for just a night stay near Hong Kong International Airport.
Walk out of baggage area, just go straight to the hotel kiosk row and find Marriott's kiosk.
The shuttle depart every 20 minutes (:10, :30, :50)
4 minutes drive and you're ready to check in for a good night sleep.
You can check out the long heated lap pool and small jacuzzi, wet and dry sauna.
Order a in-room dining and go to bed for a good rest before the next flight.
The short 4 minute get you back to the airport.
Cannot beat that.
