The Hotel Icon is very modern and well designed. The room that we stayed in had fantastic views of Hong Kong harbour and the room had a free mini bar and free WiFi. The hotel was very easy to get to from the Airport, via the Airport Express Train and the free hotel shuttle bus.
It has excellent and very helpful staff and we would definitely stay here again.

Room tip: Book a Club room.

My fiancée and I had just arrived in Hong Kong for the first time after spending a week in Harbin, China where we got engaged. We stayed at the Shangri-La in Harbin, so we were coming from a high service standard and tailored comforts when we got to Hotel Icon. Our car from Hotel Icon, picked us up from the airport, the car had Fiji waters and WiFi, which although we didn't use it, it was impressive. Our arrival at the hotel was a bit underwhelming only because our suitcases that we carefully packed for our year trip around the world had been lost on the way to Hong Kong. We were sad beyond belief that it could have happened so quickly on our second leg of a very long trip. We were greeted at Hotel icon by guest relations person Raymond. We explained our situation as he showed us around our incredible suite. Raymond assured us that his staff would find our bags and deliver them to our note room, we were weary but he was extremely confident. The lounge on the top floor was wonderful, our room came with cocktail and tea service up there every night, which was well worth the extra money, the view was foggy but an excellent location looking on from Kowloon to Hong Kong (I thought it was better than the reverse) We were extremely impressed as we went to breakfast the next morning (in our same old clothes from the day before)concierge told us our bags had arrived (yay!) and they would have delivered them earlier (it was 10am) but they didn't want to wake us up (very considerate) We didn't' have to lift a finger from there on out, concierge service was so wonderful, Raymond was so helpful, every time we saw him he would greet us by name and chat with us and smile, his english was excellent. he helped us find a jeweler to get my new engagement ring sized, the concierge desk scheduled a hair appointment for me at an excellent hair salon in Kowloon. Every night we went for cocktails up stairs we chatted with some new couple and shared travel stories. The breakfast buffet downstairs was fantastic, fresh and had a wide variety of food. Hotel Icon provides a bus that takes you around town to various stops in Kowloon, it was always available for us to use (we never had to wait) and comfortable. Raymond sent us a bottle of wine to our room to congratulate us on our engagement (this was very nice of him)
The room itself was very posh, very big and had such an incredible view with floor to ceiling windows half way around the room.
I can't say enough about Hotel Icon being such a professional and fun experience.

Its all been said before but this is really a great hotel. Excellent staff, lovely heated pool, great facilities. Worth spending extra on the executive floor- although we could not understand why the bar blocked the wonderful harbour view leaving very few seats with good harbour views in the lounge.

Just returned from five nights at the Hotel Icon, Kowloon, Hong Kong.
A hotel living up to its five star rating. Beautiful design, fabulous room with a huge picture window capturing all the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong. The staff are first class, from the Check In to the final farewell they were always friendly, helpful and above all polite. CK the manager in the Market Place Restaurant was the epitome of a manager, he was always interested in our day and would go out of his way to please. The Hotel Icon is the only place for us when next we are in Hong Kong.

I'm extremely critical in all my reviews as Trip Advisor has served me abounds for the past 10yrs now its time to pay it forward. I was extremely pleased with Hotel Icon top to bottom. There isn't much to say that others haven't already praised with this hotel. Arrived at 10pm was quickly checked in, and my room was gorgeous. Free somewhat fast Wifi + Free MiniBar check & check. In 5 days besides my room door, I hadn't opened a single door by myself anywhere in the hotel, real quick way to impress in my opinion. Bed was really comfy, had a great partial harbour view definetely worth the upgrade the shower was awesome, showerhead came from the ceiling and one from the wall it was great. It has been mentioned the hotel is part of the training school next door, upon overhearing my conversation with another expat in the elevator one of the staff clarified only 10% of actual hotel staff is in school and they can be easily identified by their brown clothing as opposed the light beige uniforms everyone wore. Frankly with the level of service I could care less everyone spoke excellent english & 1 employee even saved me a few hours on my day trip to Macau by noting I could leave from the china ferry terminal in kowloon, instead of the one in HK I initally thought I had to take (much longer MRT ride). I also enjoyed the complimentary shuttle which was never more than 10 minute wait since they have multiple buses. The pool area was beautiful, didn't have a swim but took in the 8pm Hong Kong lightshow from the deck.
Their really isn't much you could improve on especially for the money I guestimate I saved almost $100usd a night by staying here vs. comparable corporate owned properties (i.e. peninsula, mandarin orient etc.) It was quite in the mornings too, no maid noise ever, again things you would think should be the norm but any good traveler knows this isn't always so. Cons; if any & I am nitpicking here. Alarm clock or shall I say lack thereof, had a apple docking station, but in 5 days I saw at best 5 iphones, no one has them here, put an alarm clock in. From the airport if you don't want to spend the money on a shuttle or taxi this place is NOT a hop, skip & a jump from HKG. Took me the good part of an hour & 20 minutes on the MRT & 3 trains later I arrived & wandered around the Hung Hom station for 10 minutes before figuring out how to get out of it in the correct direction to the hotel. One final suggestion maybe extend shuttle service another 2 hrs daily with fewer drop off times the last few hours? I think it ending at 8pm is a little on the early side especially for us night owls. I'm fairly adaptable but took me a day or so to get aquainted with the MRT & it's million signs for anything & everything. May I suggest an airport shuttle or add a stop to airport express MRT station? That said any other gripe I may have would be with MRT closing by 1am, other than that, this hotel was impeccable & overall I would have no hesitations to make this my hotel next time im in HK.

Room tip: Tips; Download your TA cityguide app with offline map for free before you go!! buy the MRT airport express subway card for $300hkd it gives you 2 airport express rides (from and return to airport) plus 72 hours of unlimited MRT use including buses which comes in handy since Hong Kong has an awesome & practical subway system...
