My girlfriend and I turned up in Jogja with nowhere booked and not sure how long we would stay. We headed to Prawirotaman Road as we read there were lots of places to stay here and didnt fancy the idea of staying on Marioboro road. We looked in lots of places on this road and decided on Duta Guest House as it was the nicest looking and we could just about afford one of the 'Economy Rooms' with just a little stretch of our Budget (And in fact this road had some nice hotels and Guest houses but they are not the very budget end, more mid range, so this was one of the cheapest rooms on the road too!) and we are so glad we did!
The Economy Room we had was very basic, but clean and had a comfortable enough double bed.It was a shared bathroom (Cold water showers) but as we were very close to them and nobody else was staying in the rooms that shared them that wasnt a problem! Our room was cleaned every day with complimentary bottled water and fresh towels put in each time.
There is free wifi, which we could use in our room.
The pool is lovely, only small but clean and in a little 'garden' area, it has a lovely feel to it, as does the whole place.
Breakfast is included in the price (which was 125,000/night) and was nice, choice of omlette or eggs cooked to order and a choice of tea, coffee, juice. There is also bowls of Noodles or rice dishes to help yourself to.
Overall the whole place is lovely, we stayed in the cheapest room, which although basic was more than nice enough for any budget traveller and comes with the perks of being in a nice mid range guest house so you get the nicer things like the pool and breakfast.
