“Just what you're looking for”

Jogja Village Inn is quaint, charming, affordable, and has great service. The decor with the winding stone paths through the lush garden of local exotic plants and the rustic natural materials used in their building construction really give you the feel of staying in an Indonesian village. Some might be bothered by the noise of the numerous and very loud prayer calls from the nearby mosques at dawn, but I found them to be contribution to cultural atmosphere.

The rooms are very cosy and the personal balconies with the daybeds are perfect for lounging outside with the privacy of your own room. The staff are very friendly and helpful for everything from booking taxis to longer excursions around Jogja.

And best of all is the price. For the experience that you get, this place is great value for the money.

“Just perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2012

We stayed for three nights in January 2012 and it was a terrific experience.
The room we had (Junior suite) was big, comfortable and exquisitely and tastefully decorated. The open-air bathroom was huge and a pleasure to use.
The pool was a perfect place to relax while having a dring, reading... or swimming.
The restaurant was also a great experience (try the chicken sate !).
Most of all, the staff and the owner made us feel like home thanks to a friendly and warm service and great advice.
This is the perfect place to stay in Jogja when you want to visit the Borobudur and Prambanan temples (the hotel can book you a driver).
Loved it !

“Good, but a bit far from the hustle and bustle”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 December 2011

The staffs are nice but a bit clueless, so I can't say they have super good service. I can just say that they're nice.
The room is a bit dark, just the right size and averagely clean.
The location is a bit far-off, so I would recommend you hire a car. Otherwise, there are "becak" (Bahasa for trickshaw) right outside the hotel. The drivers are SUPER nice and reliable. Hire them for the whole day and you won't even need a guide. I still remember my becak driver, Gatot, in case you see him say hi from me.
Now, the breakfast is nice, especially if you want to try Indonesian breakfast.

Dear valued guest,

Thank you for taking time to write a feed back on your staying with us.
We do our best to host all our guests to experience our personal friendly staff. However, we admit that there is time to time, we do have trainees sent by local hotel school and new staff as well.
Of course, we still have to learn a lot to be faster and more efficient in service not only just being friendly and smile.
We are happy to let you know that we are bringing back our original founder and creative director Mr. Paul to retrain all the staff this year.
We hope that will help us to improve our service and the quality of our staff.
Hope to host you again in the near future.

“THE place to stay in Jogja”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 December 2011

Like a lot of people who travel, I am looking for places with a very special and personal touch. I surely found that in Jogja Village Inn, an amazing hotel, sort of mini-resort village in Yogyakarta, the cultural heart of Java.
In every major city, there are special restaurants, special bars and special hotels where people who like special places will gather. I like knowing, discovering, staying and coming back to those kind of places. I believe I know and have been to quite a few of those places in all the cities I have been to around the world.
In Jogja, Jogja Village Inn is one of those places, It is one of the places to be to live an original experience. It suits both the one time traveler and those who want a place to come regularly.
For me now there is no question of where I will go when I come to Jogja. And my friends will follow for sure.
To go more into details, Jogja Village Inn has been from the start an eco-friendly hotel with for example a no chemicals salty pool and no plastic used in hotel kits. The service is friendly and professional with everyone calling you immediately by your name. Food is excellent and diverse and most importantly, fresh. The hotel is also very connected with art and culture. You will have the best advice and opportunities to discover local culture in the best conditions, which is paramount in Yogyakarta for you to perfectly enjoy your stay in the city. They hold cultural events and exhibitions inside the hotel that are of high quality, in no way cheap or commercial, but quite sophisticated. Location is perfect, close to everything.
To finish and without disclosing too much information, this is a favorite of a lot of VIPs and famous artists both local and international.
Jogja Village Inn suits everyone. It's a must for people who want to be in the coolest place in the city they stay in.
