Stayed there for 1 night only with our friends, we booked 5 rooms.

Economy rooms, clean Budget rooms, clean Bathrooms.
Basic choice of Breakfast. They were renovating the hotels while we stay there.

Good Budget hotel but the staff needs improvement because they were some problem
with our booking condition. They said that we booked without breakfast luckily we
bring the copy of their email confirmation.

Although that they have good wall partition between rooms, but they have thin door so we can still hear conversation people outside.

I stayed 2 nights here with my family in a Deluxe room (with an extra bed) since the family room was not available during our stay. Room rate was IDR 240,000 and one extra bed costs IDR 75,000 per night. Reasonable price inclusive of breakfast and government tax.

Our room was at the highest floor (3rd floor), without elevator, also the hotspot (wifi) strongest signal area.
Spacious room and basic toiletries were provided. The ensuited bathroom consists of a washing basin, standing shower and toilet. It needs refurbishment though.

Cold/hot water & tea-making facilities are located at each floor of the building.
Breakfast was served to our room according to our requested time (between 7 to 9AM) and food choice.

Kristina Hotel is located at the centre of Yogyakarta (Jogjakarta), about 5 minutes walk to the Malioboro street where we can observe the local living culture and their daily life. A good place to buy souvenirs (keychains, silverwares, t-shirts, batik clothes, local delicacies etc.) but must bargain to have the best price. The hotel is also near the Tugu train station and other city attractions.

Single room with A/C and private toilet. Economy room. Nice hotel with breakfast included (one coffee or tea with one dish choice). Room was comfortable with tv. Economy room had no hot shower and no sink. Toilet was not very well cleaned but the rest of the room was ok. Location was perfect, just a nice 3-5 minute walk to Maliboro street. Staff was very nice and they will help you to book anything you need. Free wifi in room.

The room we stayed in in Hotel Kristina was a basic clean room. Having said that, Hotel Kristina is aimed at the Indonesian market, not so much at Westerners, so the bathroom was very basic - it had a western toilet, a shower attached to the wall (ie the shower was not separate) and there was no wash basin. Also, the staff aren't great at English, but between their English and our poor Indonesian, we got by. We didn't mind any of this. The breakfast was tasty, tea in the afternoon was complimentary and the hotel is only a short walk from Jalan Malioboro. If you walk a bit farther, you can see various things around Yogya, eg the palace. We would stay there again. Also, it is probably cheaper to fax the hotel directly rather than go through an Indonesian travel agent.
