“Romance in Paradise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 October 2011

From the friendly, efficient pick-up from Caticlan Airport, our bangkak ride to the port and to the welcoming of staff with fresh towels, tropical drinks and smiles. A beautiful welcome to this piece of paradise. Booked an executive suite, but they upgraded us to the Casita Suite 1/F. WOW! Very spacious and romantic - dramatic sunset views each night from your private balcony. Being on the 1st floor was also more private as no one can pass by your windows. The staff were also friendly and helpful. Ate dinner a few times in the restaurant which had very yummy food, good quality and lots of variety. Location was wonderful, an easy walk to D'Mall or if feeling lazy the hotel can give you a lift. The mojitos nearby at Discovery Shores at sunset were amazing. We stayed 7 nights and would love to stay more. Only issue when there was very loud music next door at night, but only for 2 nights - thank goodness.

Room Tip: Casita 1st floor more private.

“Great hotel, and the staff and details make it even better”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 October 2011

Amazing, wonderful, beautiful, friendly - one of the best hotels I ever had the pleasure to stay at. Boracay with its White Sand Beach is really beautiful. The hotel seems to be new and I like the apealing architecture. The rooms are spacious and I just love the interieur design with many great details. I could easely feel comfortable spending the whole day just inside the room.
The whole hotel is well organised and very clean. You don't need to wear any shoes when going to the restaurant or to the beach. Sitting in the restaurant while enjoying the good food and feeling the fine sand between the toes is just great. And for relaxing under the palm trees behind the beach front or laying in the sun on the beach there are plenty of new and comfortable sunbeds and lounge chairs and couches. Really nice to relax there.
The hotel is located at a more quiet strip of White Sand Beach, and I guess it's almost a half-an-hour stroll along the beach to the center at Station 2. However, trike taxis are available just outside the hotel.
So the hotel is really nice, the rooms are great, all the small details made our stay so enjoyable, but I guess the best about this hotel are the extremely friendly and professional staff. Thank you ever so much for all your smiles!

“Good Location and Rooms, however concierge service needs improvement”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 September 2011

Originally booked Junior Suite, however due to the Air-conditioning problem, they said they could upgrade us to Executive Suite. But they are building a lift just next to the building where the Executive Suites are located. So, at the end we were upgraded to Casita Suite G/F Room!!

The Room is very big, even suits for a family, since they has 1 king size bed and 2 single beds. Also has a room for the make-up table and wardrobe. Washroom is very big as well! Has a shower area, jacuzzi and 2 mirror+sink!

They do not have a Landline phone in the room, so each room would be provided with a mobile which they have preset some numbers that you can dial to Front Desk, House Keeping and Restaurant. I was told we can press the preset number outside the hotel to call for shuttle service, however it failed and at the end we need to walk back to hotel and get a tricycle.

Sometimes there maybe not enough staff in the Front Desk. On the day I check out, I tried to call 4 times consecutively for assistance on moving the luggage, but there was no answer. It turned up that we just catch up the staff at the door for assistance.

Shuttle service is another thing I would like to blame. They claim that free shuttle service to d'mall / d'talipapa will be provided until 10pm. And the following is my experience:

I called the Front Desk at 6pm for free shuttle to d'mall, and the staff told me they will check the availability and call me back. Then, after 15 mins, I still did not receive any calls, so I called back, the ans from another staff was that: Our driver just left because he feels sick, so the service will not be available tonight, and you will have to pay for your own tricycle fee to d'mall. I was like "What? I was waiting for your call, and then you tell me the driver left while I am waiting for your reply? I should have the right to enjoy the free shuttle to d'mall until 10 pm, but I have to pay for my tricycle fee? Is this what you will expect from a 5 star hotel?"

What the staff kept saying is that the service is based on availability, so now the service is not available and there is nothing they can do. What I mean is, can't the hotel just pay the tricycle fee for us, then everything will be settled! It's just 50peso, and I believe for the locals to get the tricycle, the price must be much cheaper, can't a 5 star hotel just be responsible for such cost and let their customer enjoy the free service?

I wanted to speak to their supervisor, and she was off duty at the time. After waiting for a while, the staff said he just called the driver and he will come back and drive us to d'mall. When I see the driver, he did not look sick at all, do you expect a sick person still can walk casually with a toothpick in his mouth?

I was totally disatisfied by such kind of service. I might to the Boracay, again, but I am not sure if I will stay in Ambassador again due to their service.

Room Tip: Rooms on the upper floors will be better. Because when you stay on the Ground Floor, seems everyone...

“Everything about this Hotel was Amazing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 September 2011

The Hotel was Amazing from start to finish. This was a very important vacation for my girlfriend and I. Our first one together and we wanted to make it perfect, and all I can say is that it was.
1) Airport transportation was setup and no problem at all, from the Airport all the way to the Hotel
2) The manager was out front and waiting for us when we arrived and helped us with a speedy check in
3) Food was great and loved all of it
4) Assistance was awesome when wanting to setup any activity and the prices were the best on the island
5) All of the employees were very friendly and helpful with everything

My girlfriend and I were very pleased with this Hotel and will be staying there for sure with our next visit to Boracay!

“Boracay is paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 August 2011 via mobile

Simplicity at its best. First, the rooms are huge. Simple but spacious and cozy. You can fit 5 people easily. You're located at the widest beach strip at low tide. Beutiful!! Perfect sand, and we were blessed with the perfect weather after the storm. It's located at station 1, only the best place to stay here. Party at night at station 2 or 3 but sleep best and swim freely at station 1. The food is on the expensive side but really big portions. Families please do share. The pool is just right but i'm sure can get crowded on peak season. Best place for families. At night the restaurant turns into the most romantic setting. Kids stay in the room and let mom and dad have their night. Haha. Love it. Sarina thank you. Lots of love.
