I recently spent 6 peaceful days on my second visit to Dave's. I like the fact that it is secluded from the hustle and bustle of White Beach, while still being a short walk away. It's an intimate garden environment of lush tropical plants, great food, and the friendliest staff on the entire island. It's no surprise that Dave's garners all the awards when it comes to service.

The staff knows you by your name, rather than your room number. The Dave’s experience is like a home stay, where you're treated like family, which means it’s a great place for your own family. The staff will always make time to entertain children and give comfort to cranky babies, which makes it easier for parents to relax in a safe, secure setting.

On my last day there, I watched with delight as the staff surprised a guest with a ninja birthday surprise cake delivery, complete with balloons. The guest was moved to tears by the gesture.

I loved the "welcome aboard" mango iced tea, a signature drink at Dave’s. When you’re shown to your room, the first thing you will notice is the creative décor, including the way the towels are arranged on your bed shaped into artistic creations...I call it towel origami.

The menu includes items like Dave’s signature mango and banana pancakes for breakfast, Janet’s chicken or pork burritos with homemade flour tortillas, Filipino favorites sinigang and adobo, assorted pasta, a wide variety of sandwiches, desserts and beverages. Best of all room service dining is easy because every room is just a few steps away from the kitchen.

Its like a secret garden off the main drag in Station 3 of Boracay. Nothing fancy but comfortable and friendly. The breakfasts are good, loved the oatmeal with banana and the brewed coffee. Staff really make you feel at home. They even have a sun tan station if you run out or are in need of some aloe vera!

The standard room is rather small. You got a refrigerator and a safety box but really no place for your clothes. The bed is rather hard and screamed every time you turned around. I still Love the Straw Hat Inn; its qiet, and all the staff care about you and do their best to make you feel at home.

I thought I didn't need to write another raving review BUT we were very touched when we got a nice surprise for our wedding anniversary. So i just want to say "Thanks guys!".
That was totally unexpected since I had just mentioned it in passing during a phone conversation. And yes... the welcome drink was absolutely delicious!!!
