We had a great 4 nights here and would have stayed longer if it wasn't for our flight home. So much to rave about. I loved the fact that once every 2 or 3 nights there was a happy hour and the whole hostel got together to socialise. Boracay is a party island but not as crazy as the Thai islands and the beach is 100% nicer.

Food here was lovely and having free sunbeds on the beach was a definite bonus. Running a tab is dangerous so if we go back I think I would pay for things upfront so I could keep a better eye on costs.

It's cheap for Boracay (not for SE Asia tho) staff were great, helpful and always there when you needed them.

Bar closes at 11pm which is good for those who really don't want to party all night, means those that do have to go down to the beach bars, a nice touch.

Stayed first two nights in Boracay here. My friends stayed here before and recommended it. Now I recommended it to anyone looking for a budget place to stay at a great location.

Our stay:
Large fan room with English TV, bathroom and shower.
Private front porch to hang out on.
Fun social area with pool tables, coaches, bar. Cheap cold beer.
Breakfast was delicious. Friendly staff. Felt safe.
Lots of beach chairs on the beach reserved. 2 min walk to station 1 - amazing beach.
Thin walls, could hear roosters at a few points through the night.

Over all highly recommended for a budget travel. Nothing fancy but for the price and location I highly recommend it over any other budget location (ps. we looked at A LOT of places)

Really friendly and incredibly helpful staff. The owner takes time to introduce himself and have a chat with you which is nice. One of our party got sick and had to move from his dorm to our cottage room (which was cosy and excellent value for money) after check out time. The owner graciously waived the fee for moving after check out time and offered help with medication etc. Frendz has an allocated beach area which we found very handy. They even had beach towels waiting for us. They are in a great location, central to all the life of Station 1. Really nice surroundings as well and a great common area for travelers to mingle. Highly recommended.

if you want it quite, do not tay here. The party starts.... any time. if you want to meet people, this is the place.

I stayed only one night in the dorm (700 Pesos) and my flip flops were stolen by the same drunken crowd which had sex in the dorm and screamed and drank all night. I personally believe, you can rent a own room if you plan doing such things. In addition, the dorm could or should be a place where you sleep rather then drink and sing at 4am in the morning.

Beside that, the Austrian owner is extremly helpful and the staff amazing. A welcome drink, cheap internet and very flexible staff. Still, you meet here also the people who wanne live ona US$ a day but drink all night.
