When Singapore announced and subsequently built it's 2 integrated resorts, I always wondered what's the big deal... So 2 days ago I finally experienced it when I checked into festive hotel in sentosa. Firstly I must admit that I didn't had that great an expectation cause I have stayed in genting (same company) and it was pretty bad. The room turned out to be pretty good, though the room on the website looked bigger, but in my 2 nights there with my wife, 2 small kids and helper, we all slept well and the bathroom was also good, important for me cause that's usually how I judge a room, they had hansgrohe, so guaranteed good shower.
The great thing about this hotel is really the integrated resort, shopping downstairs though not many shops but at least there are some shops and plenty of restaurants near the Caslno which is just 5 mins walk, and these are good brand restaurants at decent price, unlike genting with lousy restaurants at hi price.
For the kids the highlight was definitely univsal studios 10 mins walk, and that kept us busy for the entire day. And at night we went to what else, the Casino and that kept the adults entertained, which you can do if you have help taking care of the kids.
Overall, I love integrated resorts.
