It was an anniversary getaway with my partner and I simply enjoyed the stay !
The staffs were friendly. We got one of the best view Panronama room. The Seaside Romance package was worthwhile, with a bottle of wine, complimentary buffet breakfast for two persons and a set dinner at Casserole. The food was great too !!

However, the stay would be perfect if the weather is good. Did not get to enjoy the pool and the sun :(

We wanted a quick escape from the city of Singapore so we stayed at this hotel, around 15 mins away from the city.

LIKES:
1) Location and Accessibility:
- Sentosa's a nice SG destination and there's a bus stop just outside the hotel for you to access and go around the island. It's also right beside the Underwater world (3-5 min walk).

- Free shuttle to the city/ harbourfront centre every 20 mins.

- Easy to get a taxi (longest queue time for us on a weekend is 5 mins)

2) Kiddie amenities/facilities:
- more kiddie pools than adult pools. 3 water slides, an ice cream and popcorn stand beside the pools (plus a bar for adults for a quick snack and drink).

- two storey play area - what i liked about this play area is that they have a program for kids. they conduct games and activities. Arcade and arts room are accessible too.

- Breakfast buffet - there is a lower buffet table with colorful plastic cups and spoons so that kids can reach their cereals and other breakfast treats.

3) Environment
- right beside the beach. i know it's a manmade beach, but nevertheless it's lovely to hear water while dining at Barnacles (restaurant).

- You can have a view of the sunset when you eat at the outdoor area of Barnacles (restaurant).

- there were nice benches on the green grass area of the hotel and you can just stare all you want at nature.

Dislikes
1) the sign at the bedroom balcony door warns us of monkeys intrusion. Good thing we didnt see monkeys during our stay but the thought that there are monkeys just outside your room scared me.

2) we were given a room facing the forest and not the sea. Make sure you request for a better view.

3) We got the cheapest room (superior hill view room) and the room was not carpeted and the floor felt dusty.

I think my dislikes are just minor which were significantly offset by the positives. Will definitely go back here with my family.

Truth be told... the first impression wasn't great. The weather was bad (it was pouring all that week) so the reception area was full of people milling around, and probably waiting for their rooms like we were. We arrived at 3pm but our rooms weren't ready. We were part of a large group travelling. We had irate children with us so needless to say, we were getting stressed and probably a little irate as well. Thankfully, Jonathan Rai from reception managed to soothe our jangled nerves by offering complimentary afternoon snacks and drinks, buffet dinner for 20 people AND we got all of our rooms upgraded. Since then, it was just smooth sailing! We had the best buffet dinner at the restaurant. The quality and selection of the food were excellent, and the staff couldn't do enough for us. The upgraded rooms (facing the pool) were large and comfortable. The upgraded pool and water slides were very popular with the kids. The location of the hotel was fantastic. So the only complaint that we had was the weather!

Stayed here for 3 days after staying at the Shangri-la Orchard road last year, its not the same class, its recently been re-vamped to an ok standard, as a 3 day (almost) transit hotel it was ok, we had a suite with a jacuzzi on the balcony, when we asked for the staff to actually get it working they didnt seem to know what to do, consequently we didnt use it.

The monkeys and peacocks that visited were great and its well located for Universal studios, the beach and the Zip wire etc etc
