Me and husband suddenly decided to have a short travel to SIngapore. So we need a cheap hotel with good location and private bathroom which uneasy to find in Singapore. Then we found this hotel. Located 3 minutes walk to Bugis Junction, 1 minute to bus stop, Subway, Starbucks, 7-11, kopitiam and eateries, BLP is so worth its price: I got good discount price SGD 100 per night.

In the country where you can't find many people smile, the receptionists are nice, helpful and efficient. The room is very small, as you can not put your luggage if you bring a big one. But it is clean and tidy (even though, they do not clean it every day), with nice wallpaper, flat screen tivi, 2 big towels, shampoo, soap, tooth brush+tiny tooth paste, mineral water, kettle, mug and instant coffee. Things you don't find at hotel with the same price.

There is something about the bathroom. It is covered with glass, tinted but when it is wet it is see through so you better travel with someone you are comfortable to see you naked. We stayed for 3 days 2 nights, during our stay, everytime we go back to our room, there is a cigarette smoke smell in our room (and floor).

Initially we have booked this hotel several nights but we ended up to stay only one night.
We saw 2 different rooms in the BLP.
Size is ok but the room is cold. You have no real privacy with the bathroom.
It is separate from the room with a tinted glass which becomes almost transparent when it is getting wet by the shower.
The airco of our room was a bit noisy.

Communication/Welcome was really bad: the receptionist kept saying that there was no reservation. We really have to insist several times to explain that we have booked a room.
He did not want to listen to what we were saying.
At night the alarm fire went on. We had to leave the room. No communication from the manager who was there. No words to reassure.

On the other hand it is a 6 floors hotel packed in a buiding on the Beach road.
Location is central and Bugis area is nice. But you could find a more charming place/area to stay.

I think it is a reasonable place to stay with really good location but if you have any problem don't expect the staff to help you or to listen to you.

Price and location are their strenghts the service/communication their weakest points.

However staying downtown (Sultan street) in another hotel was much more relaxing!

This is a last minute found for us. It was 130 SGD for a standard double room and we found it a bit pricey cause the rooms were really really small.
Pros: The room was clean with free coffee and bottles of water.
The hotel is in a great location. 5minute walk (or less) to Bugis Junction where we can find Mcdonald, starbucks, toast box, mos burger..etc. Very close to MRT, taxi, bus.
Cons: the bathroom, if we can say so, cause it was just a wall made of glass which we can see through. Not recommended if travelling with other than spouse!
room very small but it's ok if you just stay there for a bed and be outside all day long

Close to Mrt. Shopping around the corner, close to Orchard st. New Hotel, rooms small but clean. free wifi, bottled water. Helpful staff. Only downside was the Bathroom. Privacy does not exist! smoked glass for walls which is see threw. Great if your alone.
