The new Marina Bay Sands hotel is an amazing building, so I'm not sure why people would want to stay there and look at other buildings when you can stay here and look at that building. I found Stamford to have one of the best views in Singapore (Second to Altitude). Rooms are large but have a dated decor. This hotel can be slightly expensive as breakfast is charged at an extra rate but with so many places to eat in Singapore you can grab breakfast just outside the hotel. With the MRT right outside and Raffles Hotel across the road what more can you ask for?
Pool area is quite large however being such a large hotel, the deck chairs get filled up quite early. I would definately stay here again for the right price.

This is the second time we have stayed in this hotel and both times have been impressed by its seamless service. This time around we got an upgrade to a harbourview room and had a spectacular vista of the new Marina Bay Sands hotel.

However the real beauty of the Swissotel is its location. For early risers there is a great walk down to the Marina Mandarin and then across the new footbridge to the Marina Bay Sands, around the waterfront to the Fullerton precinct then back up through some parkland to the the hotel.

The Swissotel is located above the Raffles City shopping centre which includes a supermarket. And it is right at City Hall MRT station, so for people who come to Singapore for the shopping it is a quick trip out to Orchard to visit the Ion Mall and the Far East Plaza, or over to Bugis for the shopping there. It is also convenient for getting to tourist spots like the Botanic Gardens and Clarke Quay.

Rooms are very comfortable, staff friendly and if you have time, there is a nice pool. This hotel really rates for its high standard and location.

- Room is ok. The room with balcony with harbour view is really nice. The DGW tea provided is a nice touch
- Service: efficient check in and check out

This was a fantastic stay! We had great views over the beautiful city, from our balcony up high. A free bottle of red for our honeymoon, was a nice touch aswell! Buffet breakfast had lots of choice, and was very tasty! Room was clean, neat and large. Very comfortable bed! Lovely drinks at the top bar are a bit pricey, but what do you expect with a view like that. So no complaint there!
