A truly outstanding hotel; I can't think of a better place I've stayed in any country. My partner and I visited Singapore on route to Austailia as part of a holiday of a lifetime to celebrate my 50th. Our room was large, well appointed and comfortable with a quality bed. Coupled with superb views over the harbour we couldn't fault it. I found this view quite inspirational as I like to draw and paint.
The icing on the cake was just that: a delicious cherry chocolate cake coupled with a birthday card was waiting for me on arriving after a day trip. Very nice!

From start to finish a marvellous hotel with wonderful staff. We booked a club room which was well worth the extra money and were lucky enough to be upgraded to a junior suite. Our room had fantastic views of the harbour and was very luxurious. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone who wants to stay in Singapore. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone and we were treated like royalty!!

I am impressed with the attentive service in this hotel which made my stay very enjoyable and I look forward to returning. The only minor issue i had was that on checking in the sheets on the duvet were stained - however this was changed very quickly when I complained.One of the key advantages of this hotel is its location. Many people may prefer to stay in Orchard road. However for me over the years Orchard road is really getting too crowded for my liking. As such the location of the Pan Pacific is terrific - being close to Marina Square - adjoining the hotel and you can walk through via the hotel and then connect to Suntec City - all undercover. If you would like to go to Orchard then you the MRT is within walking distance and the taxis are cheap and abundant. The hotel has been around for a while now and I think it has been renovated and updated over the years. Although I think they spent this around the lobby area and perhaps the spa area however the pool and rooms were not really updated except for perhaps the bathroom. LCD TV, electronic blinds and new carpets. Beyond that the decor of the room is quite bland although the standard rooms are quite spacious and the bed although a little hard - very comfortable. The other area that I am impressed with he hotel is the quality and taste of their room service - their breakfast, burgers and also asian menu were very tasty and over the years with my business travel i have eaten a lot of room service. All in all with the service, location, large rooms (may it be a little bland) - this is a great hotel and deserves its positive ratings by the majority.

This is a very old hotel, friendly staff, good location, but just too old.

Got a premier room with king bed, at the first look, everything looks ok. But when I stepped into the bathroom, it is so old and small, feels more like a 3-4 star hotel that is 50 years old. Overall is clean, but just not 5-star standard. Small bath tub, budget shampoo, cheap towels etc. Quite a disappointment really when I shower there.

The location is good, located right next to a big shopping mall and the SUNTEC convention centre.

One more thing, the wireless internet is free, but extremely unstable. I am not sure if it is just my room.
