Several of us were traveling in Singapore and I picked this hotel which was a few $s more, but one rating higher. I definitely made the right choice. It felt (smell and look) like a 4 star hotel but not priced as one. My other colleages hotel smelled and looked like a much lower rated hotel.

We booked for 3 nights but our flight in was changed by the airline to an earlier flight and we arrived at 1 a.m. The hotel desk at the airport got us a room for 1/3 of the price we got on the internet. It might be risky but I wish I had just gotten to the airport and booked the 4 nights from there. Great location at end of Orchard Street shopping strip. Many walkable sites to see. Live entertainment in lobby and bar most nights. Pool was very nice.

Holiday Inns can vary very much world wide, however this was one of the best so far, once you are checked in! We booked an "Executive" without breakfast, but found that we had full use of the "Executive" lounge, which was a delight. Such good food and service. The hotel room was all you want from a city hotel; extremely clean and good beds.
The downside was the check in which was really not good. Room not ready at stated time, then incorrect room as bed configuration was not what was booked. Finally given correct room without too much fuss. Hotel well located for shops and tourist sites.
