I have been there several times now and I enjoy it every time. It is a very nice daytrip, although you don't see many animals at lunchtime (and now in february). But you can spot monitor lizzards, snakes, otters, birds, etc. and I would definitely recommend a visit there. Paths are paved and easy going (shady) and you can decide, whether you want to walk for 30mins or for 1 1/2 hours (big or small loops).
How to get there: red mrt line to kranji station, bus 925, get out at Kranji reserve and walk 1.5km (20min) during the week (at weekends, you don't have to walk, bus stops in front of the entrance). Entrance for free from Mo-Fr and only 1S$ at weekends..
There is a nice little restaurant with (fast) food as well but I would recommend to bring water (or at least refill it at the entrance.).
Don't miss this one in Singapore when you have time for it!
