The Domus is about a ten minute walk outside the city centre in a mainly residential area. The facilities are very much as described on the web site. The street is quiet so there is little problem from noise. the rooms are as you would expect from a European four star hotel. Taxis or the metro (if you are brave enough to try and work out the signs!) are very cheap into the city. The metro ride was about 5 pence.
Having looked at some of the very basic and extremely eastern block style hotels in the city centre this was a really good and comfortable choice. Hotel prices in Kiev seem expensive compared to the cost of living for everything else. Many of the staff speak at least some english which is a bonus in this city. The hotel staff arranged for us to be met at the airport by a driver and the cost was the equivalent of about £15. I would say the Domus is a really good bet if you are looking for a comfortable base in Kiev.
