“Excellent boutique hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 February 2012

We stayed in this hotel for three nights during our stay in Siem Reap.

Hotel: The hotel is modern and well designed. The pool was clean, and the pool area in general was very peaceful. The hotel has only 10 rooms, which means you rarely see other guests and it sometimes feels like you have the hotel to yourself.

Room: Clean, comfortable and spacious. There is a bath in the room, and the shower was great. The only negative is that when we arrived, there were plenty of mosquitos in the room. In fairness, there isn't much the hotel can do about this apart from maybe spraying the room prior to arrival. There was mosquito spray available in the room, which we used and this definitely helped to get rid of them. This was only a very very minor problem and did not detract from our stay there at all!

Location: 5 to 10 minutes from town and off the main road, which means traffic can't be heard. There is a free tuk-tuk service from the hotel into town and (as mentioned in other reviews) the hotel provides you with a mobile phone to use when you want to be picked up. This was incredibly convenient and made it very easy to get around Siem Reap.

Food: Our only meals at the hotel were two free breakfasts. There is a choice between american, continental and asian breakfasts. There was plenty of tasty food (especially the bread!) and the fresh pineapple juice was delicious.

Visiting Angkor Wat: We booked a tuk-tuk and bicycles through the hotel for our visits to Angkor Wat. They were both decently priced and we had no complaints.

Staff: The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. No complaints at all about the service!

Overall: This was an entirely positive experience. The owners, management and staff have obviously put a lot of effort into ensuring this to be the case. Highly recommended.

“Great Boutique experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 February 2012

Stayed here for 4 nights part of the Cambodia tour and 1st time in the area.
Excellent experience and definitely one of the best I've seen in Siem Reap.
Yes it is remote, but you dont have to walk anywhere, they will drive you with no delays to any restaurant or market and bring you back.. and give you a phone so dont need to worry if you are stuck.. Location means you will get a good nights sleep (occasional singing form the villages in the neigbourhood ).. but this is an authentic cambodian boutique hotel that does provide and excellent service and quality.. The rooms re spacious, food is great.. The pool you can have all to yourself if come a little earlier from day trips..Enjoy a glass of wine or beer in lush tropical pool area.. Very relaxing and perfect place to stay.. can't go to the corporate chain, standard and boring looking hotels anymore.. facing masses of people after you've been at the temples.. Book Bunwin! ps.. part of the package was massage that I didn't think was great.. wouldn't want to do it again..and the tour guides english was very hard to understand... Otherwise if you book a package its great value for money.. but not hard to organize all independently..

“Win for Bunwin!”

What a great place to stay myself and my girlfriend travelled here after finding this little gem. The moment you arrive ya feel like in you are gonna have a quality holiday, and it was the best trip we ever had together thanks largely to the crew at Bunwin, much love to Than,Sophia and the staff also. The free trip into siem riep is a great bonus and they give you a mobile just to make sure you are ok,nice little touch you would'nt get anywhere else and we have stayed in a few places. The brekkie is great aswell just enough....Sadly we had to leave this place but I will for sure be back just for the hotel itself. Go there enjoy it.

“Best Hotel Experience Ever! Worth the distance from town!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

A HUGE thank you to the staff at the Bunwin Boutique Hotel, under the direction of an incredible day manager, Mr. Bunthona. We had the best experience in the most relaxing, clean, peaceful setting. This hotel gives you more bang for your buck than the other higher priced hotels in the city! The rooms are huge, awesome bathtubs (which are lacking in most of the higher priced hotels in Siem Reap) and amazingly kept surroundings. The daily free tuk tuk service to town, along with a free mobile phone borrowed from the front desk make the distance from town insignificant. Each staff member is trained so well and reflect the kindness of the owner and managers of this beautiful establishment. We WILL be back here next year on our holiday and HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone who wants the proper Siem Reap experience!! Thanks again to all the hard workers at the Bunwin! You guys rock!

Room Tip: Limited rooms, so book quick. All have the same view of the pool. Very nice!
