Had a fabulous 3 night stay at Tara Angkor while visiting the temples of the Angkor complex. Tara Angkor is well located and only a short tuk-tuk ride to Angkor Wat. For people serious about the temples, being closer to the temples rather the in the center of town is the way to go as it made it easier to both get to sunrise and come back to the hotel for breakfast and during the heat of the day. The staff was extremely helpful in getting us airline reservations on Phnom Penn. The concierge was both knowledgable and helpful for what to see and where to eat. Huge breakfast spread.

Tip: Booking directly on the hotel website gave me a great deal with included airport pickup + drop off and a free massage in the spa. Agoda was slightly cheaper but did not include these extras.

One of the best hotels on our tour of Indochina. Convenient for Angkor, this well-equipped and comfortable hotel didn't disappoint. Brilliant breakfast and great computer facilities. Bonus was a shop that was cheaper than those in town. Not too convenient to get into town but the tuk-tuks are plentiful and cheap. Swimming pool brilliant although the chairs went pretty quickly in the afternoon.

I enjoyed my recent 6 night stay at this hotel. Rooms were clean, modernand spacious. Service efficient and the pool area was simply devine. The location in siem reap was just right, been not too close to the center of town but close enough for a 5 minute tuk tuk ride. I was able to see other much bigger hotels close by where my professional conference was held, and this hotel holds up on all fronts ( and at half the price ). If there is a negative point, it would be a 630am phone call from reception asking me to clarify a few few drinks that I had bought from the pool the afternoon before. This I found more bizarre than annoying and did not detract from my overall impression on my stay.

Disappointing is exactly what we thought of this hotel. The cleanliness in the room was suspect. The housekeeping service was really really disappointing. We always felt a bit uncomfortable with the state of cleanliness of the room. When requesting things such as a plate and utensils from housekeeping, they always made mistakes and brought up the wrong things, if they came at all. The things were then removed from the room completely the next day, and we had to go through the whole process of requesting them again. All this just to have a knife and plate in our room for eating fruits! It was not a pleasant stay overall. The breakfast, however, was enjoyable. There was a variety of food and it was nice that they had a station for preparing fresh eggs made to order. The hotel's location was fine, close to the town and still a close tuk tuk ride to Angkor Wat and the other sites. Tours booked through the hotel were relatively expensive. Would not stay here again.
