Excellent experience from the Shangri-La group. Small but comfortable room on the Horizon Floor. Convenient location for business meetings. Great facilities. Useful shuttle to HKIA (chargeable).

Hotel is not bad, but a bit overpriced. You can have similar rooms (not with wood finish though) in other hotels in Shenzhen for a better price.
Breakfast buffet is a bit poor for a hotel of this category. Dinner buffet on the other side is totally worth to try.
Swimming pool is very nice, and service is great
This 2008 Futian Shangri-La property is one of my favorites of the brand and far superior to the Shangri-La across town adjacent to the train station. The lobby is grand and when live music is happening at the lobby lounge (afternoons and evenings), the entrance to the hotel has quite a lively atmosphere. On this late December stay, I was upgraded to a Premier Room (small 1-BR with 1.5 bath) on the 24th floor (lounge on floor 37). I personally enjoy the white hue of the stone cladding in the bathrooms very much. The Internet connection was fast and there was ample lighting in the room. The breakfast buffet spread was bountiful and quality above average. I enjoyed a steak sandwich to light classical music in the late afternoon one day at the lobby lounge. To be sure, there are several options for retail, restaurants, and movies nearby, so the location is quite convenient. However, it seems like there is perpetual construction going on around the hotel, so expect some extra dust and noise on your visit. Lastly to note, the travel agent affiliate in the hotel is quite capable, but also a little sneaky, always cross-check the pricing you receive from them.
Great hotel and staff spend big get a Horizon Room.Club Lounge is amazing
Hotel was very nice and in a good location to the companies we had to visit. Rooms were very nicely appointed and comfortable especially for China. The team of people who work there were excellent and always went out of their way to answer and questions or to give us advice on how to do something. They also always reminded us to have the chinese language address/directions before we left the hotel which would have been a big deal more than once had they not reminded us. The restaurant downstairs for breakfast was excellent as well and lots of choices of eastern and western style food and prepared perfectly. The same was not really the case with the restaurant on the second floor but we do recognize our inability to understand the menu so we could have used more help there but given the very high price there, we expected more. Also the second floor restaurant really advertises Shark Fin meals and soups which was a real turn off.
