“FTZ Hotel in Shenzhen”

4P Shenzhen is located at Guihua road, inside the Futian FreeTradeZone in SZX. While it may not sound like a classy area being located in the FTZ, the hotel def stand-out in that area. Just next to the check-point border from HK, thus it makes getting there relatively a breeze if you coming from HK for a short holiday

I was coming from HK and pick 4P SZX for its proximity to the Border. Once you clear border Customs, you can see the hotel and is 5min via taxi and stayed for 1 night with a couple of friends

Room was on a redemption award (only 3000 pts) using SPG points. I was given a room in the East Tower and to reach it from lobby (West Tower), you need to take a lift to 5th floor and cross over which is actually quite a hassle but other than that, no pain staying

Decor was traditionally 4P style, nothing fancy, but very practical and usable. 4P SZX is approx 20mins by taxi to city where you can find great Guangdong food shopping @ Lo Wu

“Good Hotel”

I satyed for one night:

- clean nice room
- room was rennovated with flat screen and light wooden furniture
- very compfy King bed
- 10 min walk to the HK border (Hotel also offers a free shutlle bus)
- No free Wifi is a bit outdated!!!!!
- 10 min taxi ride to downtown Shenzhen/ Coco park (cost you about 2 euro/3 USD)
- Nice gym and pool
- very friendly staff
- quick check-out

The location is NOT downtown. It is a 10 minute ride. The Hotel is stuck between a highway and the free trade zone. You do hear the occasional truck blow its horn (at 6am) but it's nothing that bothered me. Overall a good Hotel which is a lot cheaper than a lot of the other western Hotels in town.

“Good Hotel. Always staying for the last 5 years”

Good value hotel. Has many features for luxury hotel. Good breakfast, however, a few years back was even better. Good size rooms, if you ask for west tower and possible xx55 room (xx-stands for floor #). Good size gym and great roof top pool.
Internet is good either at night or early morning. later gets little slow. Location is close to border, so it only takes 5-10 min for taxi (no traffic)
Staff is alwasy friendly. If you stay for a few times, they will have your profile, on what you like and room you stood before.
Overal very happy. Always traveling for business

Room Tip: alwasy ask for room with ending 55 in the west tower (newer)

I thought the rooms were quite average, but you get what you pay for, I should have know better. I found people (staff) quite pleasant, was good, but they did not like the hotel bosses and showed in the service, not a nice feeling. As for food I ate out as much as I could, breakfast was just ok, nothing around this area at all, always difficult to get taxi, stay in downtown in much better.

Room Tip: stay on lower floors so you can use stairs as the lifts are far to slow and there is only 2 of three...

“Little out of the way - great for Hong Kong”

Isolated location near the FuTian border crossing - 10 minute walk or you can use the shuttle service during peak hours.

Great gym with newer equipment.

All and any entertainment or shopping options are a taxi ride away.

Highly recommend if you want to avoid Hong Kong hotel prices and you have a visa that can allow you to come back and forth the border. Connects to the Hong Kong MTR on the other side of the border.
