This is a modern hotel and the room we stayed has a lot of space, huge t.v., big bath and shower. Of course the room rate is compariable to European standard but it's clean and we love it. The hotel can be reached by metro (5 minutes walk) and it's next to a very big shopping center which sells "Gucci", "Miu Miu" and all kinds of luxury brands. There is a cafe/restaurant in the hotel but if you walk outside, you could find local eaters and restaurants. For western food, it's better to go into the mall. The bed is soft and comfortable. There is free internet in the room and for Wifi, you need to go to the business center which is very nicely decorated. There is a gym there but we didn't use it. Overall nice and if you want to have a better standard hotel in Shenzhen, this is your choice.

Booked here in order to stay with a local Chinese team on a work trip to Shenzhen. I had some concerns, as the "Chinese" hotels the team uses are not always up to international standards. Kapok ended up being very nice. It's in a huge building, but only occupies the bottom 6 stories, so is actually kind of a small boutique hotel, which is pretty rare in China.

Room was big and comfortable. Free internet. Good shower, leaks like every other shower in China. Desk staff were nice, though didn't speak much English, which potentially could be a challenge -- when I left they sent my cab to the wrong HK border crossing which caused me some problems, so be careful!

Location is pretty good, a short walk from the MixC mall, which has a ton of restaurants, Starbucks, and a Metro stop. 15 minute walk to LoHu border crossing and fake mall.

Stayed whenever I could in any of the Hotel Kapok hotels across China. In fact, the one in Wuxi is still the highlight, but Shenzhen is pretty good as well. The rooms are kept very modern with lots of glass, and clear lines, none of the faux-antique decor you can find in many hotels in China. Whats more, its fairly new and all appliances and furniture is still in pretty good condition. Love their bathrooms, glass palaces, all of them. Language can be a problem occasionally, but nothing which cant be solved. Their restaurant on the ground floor is pretty outstanding, I find.
