This hotel is getting a little old, but still pretty good. Rooms are good sized, has the usual amenities. Good breakfast buffet, though watch for the ladies busing the tables, they quickly grab your coffee cup, not understanding the need for the extra cups. Contrary to some reviews, I found the staff to be quite friendly and helpful. Don't believe the posters in the elevator, showing go carts and other "holiday resort" type activities, they have all been shut down long ago. Location is pretty good for getting around the city. Only about a five minute drive to the Hong Kong ferries, almost walkable. The big test, would I stay there again.

I think the hotel is is really for local Chinese, I really cannot get used to the loud voices, rude manners and smokings in oublic. Other then the pool, ping pong and bowling, everything else is extra. We came for tennis but prime times were always booked by local tennis teachers for teaching. The cost is like $70 an hour and $90 with lights. The hotel boasts an indoor court at $2000 an hour. The hotel is very old and not renovated. There was no WiFi in the room. Service is friendly except for the coffee shop. Breakfast was included during my stay and was so so. Food was so bad one niht we ate there.
The room decor and furnishing giave me a dirty and depressing feeling, the king bed was without a king matress so that you fall between the cracks of the two twin beds. The room didn't feel welcome and Zhuhai city is boring, we left a day early despite prepaid for that day.

The rooms are big, and neat. They even provide fruit for guests. It is a good swimming area, but I wish the swimming poor was indoor. It was a little bit too sunny in the summer, and easy to get tan.

I stayed in this hotel from 2/8/2008 to 2/10/2008. The hotel has a lobby which may be equivalent to a 3-4 stars hotel but the room is like a 2 star hotel. The picture of the villa looks good on internet but is completely different when you arrive. The villa is quite a distance form the main building and you need to take a van ride from the main building to the villa room. It is extremely inconvenience if you stay in the villa. The internet does not work. The room thermostat can not be adjusted because the heating is controlled by the hotel perhaps to save the electricity. The hotel is dishonest in charging the room rate. I made my reservation in RMB and charge it to my credit card. The hotel converted the RMB based on its own exchange rate to US dollar and charge me US$ on my credit card to make another ~10% on the exchange rate. What they do is quote the room rate and with confirmed reservation in RMB. When you pay with your credit card, they will show the charge in RMB as in the confirm reservation but with the small tiny print at the end of the charge slip indicate they will convert the RMB to US$ with their own exchange rate. If you think it is the bank who is charging a ridiculous exchange rate on you when you receive the bill from your bank, it is not. It is the hotel who is making a few extra $. With almost US$80 /night, you can find a real good /honest hotel in Zhuhai than stay in this hotel.
On top of it, I called the hotel management and inform displeasure about their practice making profit from the exchange rate after I receive my credit card bill. The manager promised looking into this and call me back. They never did.
