Room: A small room that fits a queen bed, a rattan swinging chair, a PC table, a TV table, a closet, which all made very hard to move around in the room. Bad tasting toothpaste, odd-smelling bath gel and shampoo.
Service: Very unfriendly staff.
Surrounding: The tranquility allows you to enjoy the beauty of Lake Taihu.
Food: Lousy variety of breakfast. We ate so little breakfast that we were running around Wuxi to find more food by 10 am. For halal-food seeker, find the Wuxi Mosque and you'll get to the halal restaurant.
If given a chance, I might want to be back to Wuxi...but I don't think I would be back to this hotel.

“Badly managed hotel with good location”
A 43-room small boutique hotel right on the lake. The location is great for leisure travelers.
The hotel is owned by a Hong Kong person. Perhaps I am biased. But HK owners tend to make the rooms quite small (to extract the extra buck out of the property). 5-star price but what you get is a small room with 3-star standards. Tiny desk. No bath tub. Small bath room area. Cheap furniture.
On Monday there is no buffet. Took them 15 min to bring out cereal with HOT milk. Complained but got ignored.
Cleaning lady broke in when DoNotDisturb sign was clearly on.
