Stayed at the hotel for a day. My first tryst with a GRT facility and it did live up to the expectations albeit being in a comparatively smaller city. The facility is a couple of stops away from the city’s transport hubs managing to give the travelers some tranquility away from the entire urban buzz. The visibility is marred by the fact that it is tucked away inside a small lane partly camouflaged by a flyover in construction. Neither the structure nor the façade is imposing but that only means the hotel is right sized for the city. My first impression of the interiors was that there was a perfect alchemy between the old world charm and modern design etiquette. The design language strode the contemporary path when you take possession of your room. The rooms are adequately large but do not look like it because of the furniture that is cramping up the space. They swallow a meaty portion (at least in a room where is stayed), yet the lovely furniture serves as a great utility. Don’t bother to stare through the glass windows as there is hardly anything to savor even for a city enthusiast. I rather let the curtains serve its purpose. The bathroom could and should have been larger. The restaurant and in-room dining are leaning on the expensive side but managed to excite my taste buds. Neither too pampering nor too reticent was what I observed. Through food and service, they know how to please customers . The dim lighted bar is quite well stocked and cozy for a lazy evening drink. The Check in and Check out procedures were a breeze with very courteous and attentive staff at the lobby. I would recommend it for myself if I had to spend another night in the town. Thanks GRT !More
