We booked this hotel as a four star through Wotif. It is in a great location, and has lovely gardens and the breakfast was good, but generally the hotel is run down and tired and most definetly not a four star experience.

Excellent value in a great location (for late night clubs). Rooms were very comfortable and clean, with a great pool. Had none of the noise issues than I had previously read about. We were there for a boys week away so suited perfectly.

If all you want to do in Bali is get really drunk at nightclubs in Kuta and you must stay directly in Kuta so that you can stumble 100 meters back to your hotel then stay here. But on that 100 meter walk watch out for lady boys who grope you and pick your pockets while your trying to protect your private part.
White rose is better than Kuta lagoon but it is still only my second to last favorite place I stayed at in Bali.

The rooms are clean, that's great. But the rooms were smallish and really out dated. I honestly can't understand the design of the hotel. Every building has 3 floors and on each of the floors there's a sort of communal sitting place/foyer taking up a lot of room for no reason. That space would be much better appropriates within the guest rooms, no one sits right outside their room, they sit in their room, dur!

The grounds are nicely maintained and manicured, but I do not know why the management thinks that they should employ a groundskeeper to spray the anti mosquito fog all over the grounds during the afternoon so that everyone sitting at the pool has to inhale all that nasty stuff, that was not pleasant at all and really unnecessary at that time period.

The pool is decent, smallish and doesn't have the nice trees and foliage all around it for shade, but it had just about enough recliners around it. There were really too many people sitting in the pool drinking without ever getting out to use the bathroom for my taste though, gross!

The buffet breakfast was alright, not as much variation or quality as other places we stayed though.

We found the staff nice enough, couldn't fault them. But we met an Aussie at the pool who had his iphone stolen while it was in the room charging, so lock up your valuables.

The gym here is pathetic, just ancient old crap in their, and the AC and TV were useless.

All in all, this hotel is not bad at all. If you want to party and shop, then I bet you will like it here. Since we stayed in 5 different hotels in Bali, I can't say that in my opinion of this hotel is that favorable. The white rose is a better option than Kuta Lagoon for sure and closer to the night clubs. This area of Bali is just not very nice though. Honestly, since Taxi's are so ridiculously cheap here, my opinion is that the breezes or even Febri's are much nicer than this place, stay a little bit further away from the clubs and have a much nicer hotel for about the same price.

I came here for a First of all, this hotel has a fantastic location. It is located directly behind the Bali Bombing memorial. I highly recommend this hotel for party animals because there are so many excellent clubs around the area. Shopping is also fantastic, you can get your shopping needs within few minutes walk. But Kuta Beach is a bit of a walk though. Otherwise, its just a normal standard hotel. But if you need a place for honeymoon, I wont recommend this hotel because its too noisy.
