The hotel was chosen because of its proximity to our company office. The most striking feature is the excellent and professional service by all staff members. So it's 5 stars for service, four stars for cleanliness and room service. Breakfast is the usual unremarkable spead, but very attentive waitresses.

The complete lack of carpeting in the hotel results in poor sound insulation particularly in passageways.

The rooms are functional and adequate, but devoid of any sense of luxury mainly because of the faux wood veneered furniture and el cheapo flooring. The windows are sealed and probably the only thing that was not clean, but then again there's nothing worthwhile to look at outside.

The pool has a nice design, nice to look at, but not private and all the diners will be watching you.

This hotel does exactly what you would expect in this price range - like a Toyota; no wow factor, but also no nasty surprises like some premium hotels in Bali.

I would stay here again but would try the suite room.

We stayed for three nights. Fantastic service and quality. Very close to airport. My only complaint is it's slightly away from the beach. All other aspects were above expectations. Staff are both very friendly and efficient too. We have come across staff in other Asian hotels who are friendly but don't understand or speak English but the staff [almost all] at Mercure could converse in English very well. I say almost because once when we asked for some tea bags and room service brought us a tea cup.! But all other occasions they were there in 5 minutes. You have to spend about Aus $ 4 for a taxi to the Kuta beach which is still worth it.

it would be better if you provide the car to take us to the airport. it will be very helpful for the guests.

We stayed here for one night as it was close to the airport and close to Serangan Harbour where our boat to the Gili Isles left from early the next morning. Perfect for that purpose and a very good price. The hotel itself is lovely, very clean, nicely designed, staff very friendly, we had room service which was above average. There's a pool and a gym, although we didn't have time to use any of this.

I wouldn't recommend it for more than a couple of nights as it isn't in the best of locations - on a very busy road which is near impossible to cross over and not much in terms of restaurants etc. close by. We did have a minor issue on check-in, they had us booked in for the 24th rather than the 4th but this was the fault of the parent company Accor rather than the hotel itself, and they sorted it out very quickly. I'm just glad that they weren't fully booked! Maybe worth calling ahead if you've booked through the Accor website to double check!
