“Not quite in Denpasar, but quiet...”

At first we were disappointed because the Hotel is situated outside of Denpasar. But at second look we were happy to sleep in this quiet and charming hotel situated conveniently between Denpasar and Ubud. We spent two nights there, the first accidentally upgraded to a more expensive villa. The smaller units are practical and big enough for two, but the more expensive villas are stunning, comfortable places with beautiful interior. Nice view over a rice field, mini private pools and good common pool.

“We will DEFINITELY be going back to Alam Puri”

We stayed at the Alam Puri for 8 days and absolutely loved every minute of our stay. The staff are caring and friendly, very helpful and happy to do anything for the guests. They really take the time to get to know the guests and understand what they want out of their trip and provide them with all available information and transport.
There is a shuttle that runs for free into Ubud every day twice a day and they will pick you up and drop you off anywhere that is convenient for you.
The hotel itself is gorgeous and each individual villa is unique and provides a relaxing and beautiful outlook into the neighboring rice fields and overlooking the pool.
We will definitely be back!!!

“Fantastic, unbelievable”

A few weeks ago we spent some days in this hotel, which was an absolutely amazing experience! Renovated rooms in a traditional balinese environment. And the best about it all was, that their Marketing & Sales manager, Zita, a hungarian woman was there all the time, helping us a lot! She organized everything for us, we saw many beatiful things, and she only gave good advice, so its worth asking her! I can very much recommend this place!

“We were booked for 5 nights and left after 2. Says it all....”

This is not in Ubud. This is not a well run villa hotel. Nothing worked - lights, powerpoints, toilets. Very disappointing - looks so much better on website. Incredibly underwhelming. Food avail at restaurant expensive in comparison to Bali. Booked for 5 nights - left after 2 nights. Ended up being an expensive mistake.

“Beautiful, tastefully decorated villas in stunning peaceful location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 January 2011

I have stayed at Alam Puri frequently over the past few months during breaks from work and it is an ideal peaceful getaway. It's perfect if you want a quiet relaxing break as it is small, traditionally Balinese and unique unlike the typical touristy resorts. I really enjoy having fresh coffee and pisang goreng served out on the verandas while admiring the unobstructed view from the balconies of the farmers working in the rice paddies. The villas are really tastefully decorated with artwork, plenty of comfy chairs and gorgeous wood carvings and stone figures. The gardens are equally tasteful and clasically Balinese. The art museum is also quaint with an interesting assortment of tribal artifacts and has a great view from the top floor of the surrounding countryside.

I look forward to returning in 2011 with my family for a longer stay and going out cycling around the village and local area.

Terima kasih banyak to Alam Puri.
