stayed with wife and son for 2 days. the location is great, easy access to go to other part of bali such as seminyak,jimbaran and nusa dua as i did. the people is great especially the front desk and breakfast staffs, very helpful. breakfast is good, have egg station, asian, pastry and jajanan pasar (local traditional food). the bedroom and bathroom is new and minimalist. one drawback is for the security outfront, better have more initiative, for example when i arrived during rainy night after dinner outside, he just stand there at his post with his umbrella,not trying to give me a hand with the umbrella as i get out from the car. i have to ask for an umbrella myself to the frontdesk as my wife and son is still in the car and the rain is quite heavy. hope the management could give more detailed job desc to the people. santika bali can achieve more in the future if so.

I stayed at Santika Hotel for a short 4D3N getaway.
The hotel is located quite close to the airport, about 15min from Kuta beach (fast walk) and 5-10mins from tourist-oriented Jalan Legian.

My room was OK and service generally fine, although staff not very fluent in English.
Breakfast was average with limited selection.

There is a nice supermarket and a KFC on the opposite side of the road.
You can also find a few convenience stores, a pharmacy and local food stalls (with nasi goreng and martabak) in the vicinity.

Generally the hotel is a good base if you are looking to go on tours (with arranged hotel pick-up or rented motorbike/car), and less if you are a "beach person". I believe the place is value for money.

Don't arrange for an airport transfer at the hotel on the way back, go for a meter taxi or approach one of the drivers standing along the roadside near the beach (or rather they will approach you). A one-way trip from Santika to the airport shouldn't be more than 50,000Rp (or even less if you can bargain better).

i stayed in this hotel from dec 13th until dec 15th with my wife and daughter. i was in bali initially for business but i brought my wife and daughter coz the school is already on holiday. we were upgraded from deluxe room to premiere double (love #1). the free inroom wifi was sufficiently quick (love #2). location is near from several interest point , e.q grocery store, several nice restaurant within walking distance (love #3). check in and check out process is very smooth and quikc (love #4).
Distance to beaches is not within walking distance (hate #1), but since we rent a car and we are not the kind of family who spent most of our time at the beach, this is not become a problem. breakfast is so so, variety is quite okay but the taste is very standart (hate #2). the breakfast room is consist of an open air pool side area and the other is inside the building. airflow is not that good i think it's because of the design of the room, so while dining in the room, we feel a bit warm even at 8 am (hate #3).
all and all, for the price they charged me, it's a valuable hotel.
will think about coming here again as one of my choices.

Room was clean and cosy. ~15mins walk to Kuta beach but you can get a taxi easily. They dont have a dedicated place for spa but there is a very good one (Everyday spa) 10-15mins walk from the hotel (walk to the left once you exit from the hotel). Service was good, they have Wifi but its limited to one per room. Good place if you want to use it as a base to travel around.
