“3rd stay comming up”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 February 2012

We will arrive in March for our 3rd stay at HRHB.

This hotel is very expensive (for Bali) but still great value for a relaxing break in the middle of Kuta. We have 2 boys 8 and 6 yo and you really can't beat the pool at Hard Rock and all of the activities to keep them entertained.

Pool bar is awesome (buy 2 Bintangs get one free...). The staff are unreal and always go out of their way to help.

We always stay in Premium Deluxe rooms with direct access to the chill out pool. you walk straight out of your room into the pool area (quiet pool that many other guests don't even know is there). They are the best rooms at the Hotel for about $30USD p/night more than a deluxe room. (2xQueen bed is best configuration as the day beds go accross the door and you need to climb over them to get out to the pool)

June 2010 we stayed 10 nights which coincided with Hard Rock's 40th anniversiary. They put on the most amazing foam party and entertainment for the kids - was unbelievable!!!!

Cons - the line up at breakfast; the lack of recognition for repeat business (even after 3 stays and over $10k still no offer of upgrade or discount); No free wifi, but these are trivial really - if it was that big a deal we wouldn't keep comming back...

Looking forward to getting back there 4 WEEKS TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Have a rocking day"!!!

Room Tip: Deluxe Premium Pool Access!!!!!!!!!!! Best by far.

“Great pool! Rooms OK but could do with some improvements.”

We normally stay at the Bali Dynasty but it was booked out so we decided to try the Hard Rock as an alternative. We were genrally very happy with the hotel. It has a fantastic pool with young kids area, beac, cabanas etc. The rooms were nice but could do with a few basic improvements such as somewhere to store your clothes as you are really forced to live out of a suitcase because there are no drawers, wardrobes etc. We had a few problems with the toilet not flushing but staff response was very good coming to repair any issues very quickly. We had a room not far from the centre stage and were concerned that the noise would bother us but surprisingly found that the music was not too loud and we had no problems sleeping. There was no overly excessive deep bass doof-doof music. The kids club wasn't as good as the one at the Dynasty as it seemed to cater more for really young kids and they didn't get to swim in the pool when at the club. Food was also rather basic for the kids while in the kids club (sandwiches, basic spaghetti). I would stay there again but would like to see the room facilities improved a little - it would make a big difference. It will remain second choice after the Bali Dynasty though...

“loved the pool”

Booked a premium deluxe room and was upgraded to premium deluxe pool access on check in. This meant we were on the ground floor and the french doors opened to the chill out pool. The rooms are very nice but had a musty smell from the moment we entered it. We told housekeeping and they sprayed the room but it didn't help. While trying to figure out the source of the smell, we noticed that there was hair on the rug between the beds. Not what you would expect from a 5 star resort. Front desk got it vacuumed. The bathroom is large and has a spa bath with a shower over it.
We had two hours internet access included due to our room type but free wifi, for everyone, is an expectation in most hotels now.
The pool is amazing, big enough for everyone there with plenty of activities. I was disappointed that you needed to be under 12 for one of the slides.
It was raining while we were there and told to get an umbrella from the bell desk but they had run out. Most hotels have the umbrellas provided in the rooms. We had to walk in the rain.
Would stay again and recommend it to anyone who plans to spend a lot of time in or by the pool.

The hotel is excellent, like the swimming pools so much, better than the Kuta beach right across the street. The location is in walking distance to shopping area, luv it. Would definetely come again.

“HEAVEN ON EARTH”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 February 2012

I just recently returned home from a family holiday to Bali with my 2 teenage daughters. We stayed at Hard Rock Hotel and loved everything about it, it really was like staying in a rock museum, we were amazed!!
From the moment we first arrived we were treated like Rockstars by the wonderful staff. They were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much for them.
Our room on the 4th floor was beautiful, and the beds were so comfortable, it was like sleeping on a cloud, I think we had the best sleeps of our lives here.
Hard Rock is directly opposite Kuta Beach and so close to everything. We never needed a taxi once, we walked to Water Bom, Matahari Department Store and all the best restaurants.
I only have one beef about this hotel and that is the quality of the water, sadly it was hard and salty, it was next to impossible to lather yourself up in the shower, so every night I went to bed feeling sticky and horrible!
Apart from that, the breakfasts were amazing each morning, so much to choose from and the pools were gorgeous, I would definately recommend this hotel and yes I will definately be back, THANKS HARD ROCK - YOU ROCK !!!
