I have been staying at Kusnadi for over 15 years and the prices have gone up dramatically.
They have recently put there prices up so far we will not be going back. There reason for this is because you now get a free small bottle of water with your room. Crazy and greedy.
My rewiew is based on the new prices. All things at the hotel were good based on old prices.

It is with sadness I write that Kusnadi Hotel along with it seems most Hotels in Bali think they can double their prices and it is OK. I have booked flights for John and I to go back to Bali for his 60th Birthday in September even though I said I would not go back to Bali after holidaying in Vietnam. I sent Kusnadi Hotel an email to book a Deluxe Room for our 10 stay and was very shocked to be advised the price has almost doubled since April 2011. This little gem is now a very expensive little gem and way over priced. I am sure they have not improved their facilities or upgraded their rooms to warrant such a large increase in price. It might be OK for some travellers but I still want value for money. I would rather pay more, which is what we are doing and receive value for money. Loved our experience at Kusnadi in 2011 but we will not be back.
The way Bali is going it will be too expensive for the frequent traveller in the not to distant future. The Bali experience is not that good any more.

I stayed here earlier in the year for the last couple of nights of my trip as the price was very cheap.
It hasn't been my favourite place that I have stayed in Bali but it has been the cheapest so I guess the saying “you get what you pay for” very much applies.
For the price; the hotel is in a good location just a short walk to the main shopping strip as well as the beach.
The hotel grounds are very pretty and the pool is nice and when we were there it was nice and peaceful especially after being out in the hustle and bustle.
Our room was very old and the bed very hard but ok and acceptable for the price.
The bathroom was probably the biggest negative for me. There was no shower wall or curtain to separate it from the rest of the ensuite which meant that water got everywhere whenever you showered. It also meant that whilst showering you were standing right next to the toilet which wasn't very pleasant. The bathroom has definitely put me off staying there again.
While I think it is worth paying a little bit more and staying somewhere on the beach and more modern if you are on a budget and aren't fussy about bathrooms then Kusnadi is great value for money.

My good experience with this hotel started with booking over the internet with a staff member named Dewi who was very professional and friendly. When our family of four - children age 8 and 14 arrived we were greeted by more friendly staff. We stayed in two deluxe garden rooms which were on the second floor and easily accessible to each other. The rooms were very clean, bed comfortable and bathrooms were nice and clean. We had a beautiful view overlooking the nice gardens. Our rooms were nice and quiet. The breakfast was good, different every day and any eggs cooked to your liking. Again the staff were so helpful and friendly they remembered all of our names each day. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to any of my friends.
