“Nice.. but everything is OLD.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

I stayed there for 3 days working. The hotel is very big, and all the decoration felt so classic Bali. But the reception, bell boy (man) and most the rest hotel staff is just old. 40 to 50. Except during the breakfast time, there was some teenagers, girls with black and white shirt, whose help the staff.

Maybe, the hotel needs some refreshment, espc to the furniture, the front liner staffs, and the way they treat the guests. I heard two women getting mad about how they paid.

Customer satisfaction still number one if the hotel has some plan to standing still there.

“amazing location but needs updating badly”

stayed here for 10 nights in july for a wedding taking place on 15th at st regis resort. first impressions were wow but soon went down hill. was a bit like cell block h! was on 4th floor view was good but room was so out dated and very basic, clean tho. tea and coffee was available in room which was very welcome. breakfast was mainly for the asian guests unless you had omelette every day! the staff in reception were always courteous and helpful. you could eat at the pool bar and the food was good but a little expensive. don`t have a cocktail at the pool tho £10 a go! stick to bintang beer.pool was clean but swim up bar was missing a few tiles and this spoiled the effect. juat a few steps across the grass and you were on the beach. lovely beach until you got near the water and saw all the rubbish shame. really close to bali collection shops which was upmarket.designer shops and prices tho! good range of restaurants and prices to suit all some of our party stayed at different, slightly more expensive hotel the novotel, which for the extra was far better but the location of inna putri was the best and it looked like an authentic balinese hotel which was what we wanted. we had such an amazing time we were happy to overlook the negatives as we took the hotel for what it was a cheaper one but right location and didn`t have any problems. went on trips inland to see temples - a must do! also went to bali zoo which was fab and rode an elephant! would we go back here? would try to book novotel or ayodea hotel but would`nt not go if this was only hotel available. if you want to go to a beautiful place and have an amazing time and are not too worried about accomodation as long as you have read a few reviews on this hotel then go.

“Beautiful location,BUT .......”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 November 2011

We stayed for 6nights at this hotel. It was booked on our behalf by our holiday conceirge. We were impressed by the first imppression on arrival but this positive impression very quickly dissippitated and gradually got worse.
The reception staff was not very friendly or welcoming -they were mainly staffed by "very matured" and disinterested staff -one of them clipped his toe nails while serving us at the safe deposit room.when we asked for help with using the internet services to book our seats for our flights, we were told we had to pay 60rupiah for an hour-thats ok,but, when we could not get the computer to work, we were told that "its broken and theres no service" -I pointed out that his worker was using Facebook at her desk so there MUST be service!Reluctantly, he got an IT bloke to assist us.
We asked for advice on how to get to the Bali collection that we have read about -the male staff told us that it would cost 12rupiah and the shuttle runs hourly -we later found out that he could have just adviced us to walk through the hotel grounds/beach path via the GRand Hyatt next door!its was the same with trying to get a taxi to the airport...everything was an effort for them.
We paid 400rupiah for a car and a tour guide for the day to go out and about..they got one of their own staff to be the driver for the day -he couldnt speak much english and just dropped us off at the sites and sat in the car texting away throught out the day.
Th room was very spacious but needed a proper clean -the dust has been untouched for a while...the bathroom taps all leaked, the bath mat was mouldy and grubby, the tiles and basins and bath really really needed a good clean..we soon found out that the male cleaner just comes in and makes the beds every day.
there were bath robes provided but like the towels, they were thread bare, over used and smelt over used.
The best thing about breakfast time was being able to feed the fishes in the pond with the bread. They have the same menu every day -rice and over cooked boney chicken pieces, congee, watermelon, papaya, shredded carrots/cheese, bread rolls with flies all over them, staff whipping the plates off you when you are not looking...and worst of all, smoking allowed in the dining area even when there are small children on the next table eating. The staff are not friendly and gives the impression that they really dont like being there and some of them were just "roped in" to help out for the day as the uniform does not seem to fit them!
The roof throughout the building was leaking making the tiled floors lethal-so there were wet rags on the floor everywhere when it rained.
The overall location and the architecture of the hotel especially the gardens ARE beautiful indeed -the grounds are spacious and is an absolute paradise as it leads to the beach itself.
The food in the outdoor restaurant is expensive and awful -dont eat there!
All the beach mats are old, like the towels indoors, and badly needs replacing.
The beach needs to be cleansed of the litter -carrier bags, used satchets, toothpaste tubes, etc etc -the beach on the hotels next door are much much cleaner.
This hotel could have so so much potential -if only the management takes note of the overtired/instituitionalised employees and bring in some welcoming smiling enthusiastic staff
who has customer care at heart. And, bring in some professional cleaners and maintenence staff at the same time!
How on earth did it manage to get a 5star status??
I would not recommend it for the poor staff attitude but I would recommend it for its location and beautiful gardens. The Bali Collection retail park is wonderfully situated next door to it -it is very expensive to shop there...but hey, its clean, its safe and its convenient for souvenirs and restaurants. This is a bespoke area for tourists only after all.
I would shop around as competition is fierce out there in the hotel trade.

Room Tip: ask to look at the rooms first!!!!(esp the bathroom)

“Do not go.”

Booked a trip to Bali last minute and this was the only hotel available (and I can see why). Advertised as a five star hotel .. it certainly is not. Dirty, old and in need of a renovation.
I would not return. Was not worth the high price we paid.
Would not recommend it.
