Its a good news when we know there is a Hilton in Bandung few years ago.

We stayed there most of the time when we visited Bandung, we had amazingly breakfast choices well service staff, but there was a story while we having late breakfast at 10.15 we were the last person on the restaurant and they were preparing the table set for the restaurant, and we said is there chance to have quick breakfast ?
This waiter lead us to a table and the chef said "You can enjoy your breakfast as long as you like" (impressive statement) and even my wife wants to have sunkist fruit but unfortunately there is none on the basket, this chef provided for her. Unfortunately we forgot the Chef's name however we appreciate so much for you great gesture.

This kind of service reminded me with Hilton Osaka, Japan. I assumed that Hilton has this "magical" attitude training hehe..

Spent the last few days of 2011 with friends at the Hilton Bandung in Bandung, Java, Indonesia and ringing in the New Year 2012. Hotel is within 5 km of the Husein Sastranegara International Airport. The airport is small where passengers had to walk on the tarmac to ICQ and baggage claims. Luckily for us both times (arrival and departure) the rain held up. The weather for that time of year - 50%-70% chance of rain.
Hilton Bandung is new as evident from the condition of room and its fittings and restaurants. The deluxe room is spacious with sofa set in room and a large bathroom (shower only). Bath amenities were of high quality. A clear glass wall separates bathroom from bedroom so the bathroom is bright during the day and also gave a spacious impression. King-size bed and pillows were comfortable though the pillows were too soft for my liking. Breakfast spread is very good - hot local food as well as fruits, Continental and American breakfast. Since it was 'holiday season' between Xmas and New Year, the room rate is above average (SGD 240 per nite w/ daily breakfast).
The spa at 5th floor is very clean and the treatments are very well done at reasonable price abt IDR 300k for 90 mins session. Staff at spa, reception and restaurants can communicate in English Language also.
Besides holiday seasons, hotel is likely to be full from Fridays thru Sundays as Bandung is a favourite weekend vacation destination for residents in Java. Lots of Jakarta-plate vehicles found their way to Bandung so expect traffic jams when going to popular restaurants and shopping centres/outlets. We took 1.5 hours during evening peak hours to reach Paris Van Java mall, which is within 5 km from the hotel. Please minimise travelling from place to place during peak traffic by vehicle . Vehicles and motorcycles somehow manage to avoid collisions in the traffic mayhem.
Local food is within 5 mins walk from hotel over the railway tracks to Paskal Hypersquare Food Court and Shopping (Blossoms and other shops). Parts of the complex is under construction/renovation now - should be ready in early 2012.
We spent most mornings golfing so did not have enough time to tour Bandung attractions in the afternoon due the traffic condition. Managed to visit the volcano Tanguban Perahu for 20 mins, which was insufficient to walk the tracks to various craters and hot springs.
Rumah Mode, Istana Plaza and the many outlets offer a good selection of buys at reasonable prices.

We stayed here for 3 nights in December 2011 in an inter-connecting room. Room was big and beds were very comfortable. We love swimming in the pool and the hotel has a well equipped gym and the breakfast spread was also fantastic.
