I stayed there with family on vacation.

Location: B+. Close to Jalan Riau and BIP, where the FO's are lcoated.

Rooms: B. It looks old, needs more lighting, some fixtures do not work.

Service: A-. Great staffs, helpful.

Appearance: B-. Slow elevators. Again lighting was too dim. They have a nice atrium, will be great if the elevators are facing against the atrium.

Stayed there for one night after a sharing discussion event held in Ballroom 1. The function room was not equipped with devices as usually a function room would be and not running quite well also but the agility of the staff covered it all, so it was ok.

The front desk staff were very nice, although it almost took a half-hour for me to have a check-in as the room was not ready. The room however was lovely, clean and the amenities were everything I can ask for. I had dinner at the resto and the food was amazingly delicious: salad with tasty dressings, garlic broccoli, oxtail soup, spicy roasted rib, etc. and they were all heavenly cooked and served . The waiters and waitresses were very helpful, professional and friendly. They are the treasures of this hotel.

Location is good, almost close to everything except the bad traffic. But it is traffic everywhere in Bandung, especially on Saturday and Sunday as people want to get a wonderful taste of gastronomic experiences.

The Bandung Hyatt is a nice enough hotel would benefit from a renovation.

The heated pool on the upper floor is very scenic and normally quite quiet, although the chemical levels were a little high - there were thousands of floating pieces of some unidentified white material in the pool. The bathrooms looked like they'd been renovated recently, it was just the rooms that seemed a little stuffy and dull; the mirrors were faded and the style of the rooms was a decade or two out of date. The balcony in the deluxe room was a very drab affair; just a grey slab of concrete with a pot plant, but no attempt to make it look presentable.

Bandung has so many excellent food options that I didn't bother eating in the restaurant, so I can't comment on the food. One thing I did like was that when I was queuing to pay, somebody tried to push in front of me but the receptionist sent her to the back of the line without me having to say anything - a sign of good attention to detail from her. All in all, a satisfying stay, but it is time for a renovation of the rooms and balconies to bring it into line with other Hyatts in Indonesia.

Was booked this room type due to full occupancy on the other type. Booked thru the hotel website directly with the rate of $236++ (breakfast inclusive at the regency lounge on 13th fl).

Arrvd at the hotel at about 9pm. A little downside on the reception area, they were checked my booking and said the room need to be double check first and while waiting for about 15 mins one of the staff brought us a welcome drink (a liitle too late for a welcoming i guess, when there were actually only 2 person on the check in area..)
After 20 mins, finally walked in to our room of 70sq mtr on 13th fl which has its coffee maker, dining area, and a comfy couch. Bed was okay and bathroom was quite spaciuos, hair-dryer was attached to the wall, not so special on the aminities though. the entertainment that you can get is only the flat tv which had varieties of cable channel, no ipod dock found or dvd player.

I was expecting atleast a welcome fruits or any other welcoming perks in a suite room but didnt find any, however im quite happy on the room but probably will check on the other newer hotel available on the next weekend gateway. Breakfast was okay but i still believe they can do it better, on the food varieties or fresh squeeze juices counter. On the other hand, location wise is perfect...its easy to be in one spot to another but please mind the traffic on the weekend.
