“nice hotel but poor location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 November 2011

the room is excellent for the money you pay but the location is a bit far from the main road. In fact, when I took a taxi from the ferry terminal (batam center), the driver had to ask others to get directions to the hotel.
the breakfast is tasty but the choice is quite limited.

“Very Basic hotel in Batam”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2011

The rate is very cheap. Room have the basic stuff, TV, dressing table, toilet. In general it is clean, but the bed have some "ash?" stain and smell of cigarette. Hotel do not have many facilities, a very bare reception desk, and a basic restaurant. It do have a spa in it too, but no swimming pool. The staff are generally friendly and helpful.

Location wise is fine, just a 10 min walk from Ngaoya Hill Shopping Centre. However, you would need to walk through a back alley. No problem making the trip in the day, but best to take a cab between the shopping mall and hotel after dark.

Room Tip: They provide free transport to and fro ferry terminal

“Great Hotel But Bad Location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2011

I choose to stay in this hotel for my batam trip as I would like to cut my cost and it offers a very reasonable price with some good reviews. The hotel staffs are very friendly and polite. The Hotel is 15 minutes walking distance to Nagoya Hill shopping mall, if you are a shoping fan you would like to stay here, however you would pass a unpleasant path before you reached there (but its not the hotel fault so we can't deal with it). The mall is quite big and there are many food restaurants inside.
Ok lets back to the hotel, the room is quite clean for a budget room. What I don't like is that I had asked the staff for a non-smoking room but my room table still has lot of burning scar by the cigarette. The toilet is ok, everything is there but it would be better if the cleanliness can be improved. The TV has a lot of channels and its enough to entertain you for a day but some channels quality is not that good though.
The hotel also provide me a 1 hour free spa and its next to the hotel. Somehow its would be better if the hotel can link them up instead of two different buildings in the same row. The spa is comfortable enough but there is some "sands" I can feel under the spa pool. Hope the management can get rid of it to improve its hygience. The hotel package also include a breakfast buffet, the variety is quite limited, there is porridge, kwew teoy, fried rice and some juices. I go for breakfast at around 9.30am (Closing time is 10am), but when i reached there, the food is very less and the staffs had no intention to top up for the food anymore, so its quite disappointing me anyway. However there should be no problems for early birds.
Overall, the hotel worths every cents i paid for it but I may not come again as the location is not that strategic and I am not an early bird.

Room Tip: Try to ask for non-smoking room if you are non-smoker.

“A very basic one night stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 September 2011

Yes it is pretty near the Nagoya Hill, although the walk wasn't pleasant. My friends hate crossing the busy roads due to the overwhelming traffic but hey, that's not the hotel's fault so I shall not dwell on that.

Alright so back to the hotel. When we arrived, the staff was very polite and pleasant. The bedsheets and towels have some stains so we weren't impressed. We were also surprised to find only very few TV channels available and all are local channels, as my friend had done a research and found that there were like lots of international channels available here.

We asked the staff about the TV channels before leaving the hotel to explore the way to Nagoya Hill and the staff seemed unsure. But when we returned, we were pleasantly surprised to find over 50 channels on the TV and we had a good time channel surfing and watching some great shows on HBO and Star Movie.

The toilet was very basic but reasonable for a budget hotel. Simple wash basin, toilet bowl and standing shower. My friend was very upset to find a cockroach in her bathroom and she thought the towels smell funny.

Breakfast was a simple fare but, once again, very reasonable for a budget hotel. There were toast and corn flakes, porridge with an assortment of condiments, rice and fried rice noodles and eggs etc. I'll share a picture.

Triniti boast of its great spa facilities in the phamplet found in our room. However we didn't get to use the spa facilities as we returned late at night and the spa was closed, and on the next day we had to check out around noon and didn't have time to enjoy the spa facilities available throughout our one night stay.

It is a reasonable budget hotel for someone who would like to enjoy shopping at Nagoya Hill but I guess I would rather stay in the resorts the next time I visit Batam as my main purpose is to relax and chill with spa facilities and a swimming pool, and not to shop.
