“Short break getaway”

This was my first time at Batam Harris and I must say that our 2-night stay was overall a great experience. The staff are polite and always with a smile. Housekeeping service was prompt. We stayed in the Cabanas, which faces the sea. However, I hope that the hotel will ensure that all the electrical outlets were fully working. There was only one empty outlet available and it was not functioning. So, we had to use the ones designated for the hairdryer and the boiler to charge our mobiles. The AC was not as cold as I would have liked it to be - at times it was a little uncomfortable despite at 16 deg C. It got cooler in the later part of the night only.

I would also suggest to the hotel that they should make the shuttle service to town a free service rather than charging hotel guests. In our case, a one-time free shuttle was included in our package but we had to engage a taxi the next day. As to the breakfast buffet, I wonder if they could improve on the menu? The staples are the porridge, various cereals, eggs, bread and fruits. So the additional was white rice and noodles and one meat dish. I think this area can be improved on.
I had the 1.5 hour massage as part of our package (1 hour massage + 30 mins in the jacuzzi). It is alright but considering that certain spas located in Batam provide a free fetch and send service, the resort's Spa could consider improving its standard? Just a suggestion as I felt that the Spa in town was really quite good and complete. I was told that the resort's Spa did not offer a certain treatments yet such as the candling treatment.

I wish that they had some form of music entertainment like a band. We saw one on Thurs nite, but the next day when we wanted to go, there was none. So, that was too bad.

However, overall, I will recommend Harris Resort for a short getaway. The areas I mentioned above will only make the resort better than it already is, but it is still a good place to go. 2 thumbs up!

Room Tip: Perhaps the rooms on the main hotel building might be a better option?

“Execellent Customer service and team work”

I must say that we had a very nice time at the hotel which was filled with smiles & great service.

I would like to congratulate the hotel on your 'team work' as the day we arrived the front desk was packed. Your security guards, other staff assisted in serving cold towels and welcome drinks to guests waiting in line to check in. Can you believe it.... the ROOMS DIVISIONS MANAGER... Mr. Hamil helped to check in and assist guests... I have never seen such great service...

The spa girls are just awesome.... they make you feel relaxed and very humble....

Unfortunately on our last day, Didi from reception was not working. However, I would like to thank her for giving us a late check-out and a nice room facing the sea...

I am very impressed by the level of service.... A BIG CONGRATULATIONS ONCE AGAIN....

I just came back from a stay at Harris Resort a few hours ago, my 3rd time there.

The last time I was there was about 2 years ago, and despite the ongoing renovations and additional wing construction going on, my stay there was marked with excellent service and a comfortable stay.

This time was no less. To my surprise, I was given a free Cabana upgrade which was unexpected because I paid very cheaply for a normal room! the room was clean, the open-shower concept was quite good and thank God they put a mosquito net over the bed. It was comfortable and more romantic imo.

I enjoyed the complimentary massage at H Spa, which could do with an elevator though because by the time i climbed the 5 flights of stairs i was out of breath! :D

Also, there were many improvements and changes since the last time I was there, the new extension wing was up already, the pool area seemed more bigger and whaddya know, cleanliness & service was much better than ever!

Kudos to the Harris team & Mr. Koureas for continuing with the good work, I am definitely coming back again.

P.S : The wood oven baked pizzas are to DIE FOR!

“Budget getaway”

My package came with a free 1hr massage which was good. Stayed in the old wing so the furniture looked pretty worn.

However, there's not much to do in the hotel other than swimming and bowling (there's not much of a beach) though they do provide activities like the flying fox. I enjoyed the food provided in the cafe though.

Overall, don't expect too much. It doesn't wow, but it's not a horrible experience either. Just average.
