Felt like a big rip off having paid SGD422 a night for just a basic room (deluxe sea view). No complimentary shuttle services to ferry terminal or even to the nearest tourist attraction (more like a tourist trap), everything is about $$$$.. 2D1N at the hotel, basic meals costed a whopping SGD240 for 2 pax. Hotel website doesn't provide a lot of info and the location is bad, it's far from everywhere! Rooms are extremely tired, small; you can hear all sorts of noise in the room, people walking, trolley, people talking, doors slamming - no noise isolation at all; bathtub and toilet bowl are filthy; hotel doesn't have many facilities; staff's services are substandard (at one point housekeeping just marched into our room while we were having our afternoon nap - didn't apologize, only to come back much later to present us with a stuffed star as a token of apology - what??) Breakfast and dinner spread were not fantastic at all - again, very basic selections. I would've expected much more from Angsana for the price I was charged and also as it is associated to Banyan Tree.
The pros will have to be the beautiful private beach, sea view from room and the very experienced live band at Lotus Cafe. Other than that, it was a total disaster. Not coming back again.
There are much better hotels at half the price of this. Big let down.

It is neither the standard nor the intention of our establishment to provide our valued guests with an experience as you have described and we are very sorry for having left you with this unfavorable impression.
We are saddened to learn you found our facilities to be very limited and would like to allow ourselves to point out that a full concierge is available at Angsana Bintan including complimentary daily complimentary activities, a recreations lounge as well as a gym.
On behalf of our housekeeping team we would also like to extend our apologies for the unfortunate incident involving our associate wanting to service your room while you were resting. Please trust that our housekeeper has acted in good faith, with good intentions and feels very sorry to have disturbed your privacy.
We regret that you found our breakfast selection to be inadequate and would like to assure you that we are very committed to constantly improve and upgrade our spreads and have recently added a fresh fruit carving station, a crepe and pancake station as well as introduced an a la carte “Asian specials” breakfast menu.
Once again, please accept our apologies and we would very much like to see you returning to Angsana Bintan so that we can provide you with an overall much better experience.
