My fiancé and I are currently staying a week at this hotel and I thought I would write the review before we leave and then I don't get time to do it. The staff were extremely friendly on check in as we had the early flight from Singapore and arrived about 8am. By about 9am they said we could check in and go to our room, at not extra cost. Our room is on 3rd floor, very tidy and clean with a large bed and modern feel in general. There is not much room for sun loungers next to either pool if it was busy but we have used their partner hotel which is across the road, this has a bigger pool, but it's nice to have a few options. The location is good. 5 min walk to noparatara beach and the boat taxis and a bit longer to ao nang but there are taxis and tuk tuk right outside the hotel. Plenty shops and restaurants close by along with a bank with ATM and currency exchange. This was useful because the early flight into Krabi meant the exchange booth at the airport was shut. It's only 150 bht each for the shuttle bus to ao nang but the cash machines were not working very well for some people so bring some cash if you are on an early flight. The bed in our room is as hard as rock so perhaps enquire about this in advance although I bet they are all the same, like most hotels. All in all a really nice, well run hotel. Fingers crossed we won't encounter any probs between writing this and checking out in a few days!!

I love the Small Krabi. The price is affordable, the room is great, the service is wonderful. No complains for me. What i love best about the Small is the location. Near to Ao Nang beach and shops. Great place to stay for an affordable price. Highly recommended!

Arrived at the reception and was greeted very warmly by the staff - check-in was very quick and efficient. As with many other 3-4 star hotels, The Small Hotel also provides all the rooms with free wireless, DVD players with rental DVDs available at the reception. However, we only receive 2 complimentary bottles of water on the first day we checked-in.

Anyhow, that was not going to undermine the fact that The Small is still a value-for money place to stay. I was very impressed with the size of my room (3009) and the bathroom - enjoyed the space and the simple furnishings and design, just thought that the TV was a tad too small for a room of that size :P There's a balcony attached with every room which overlooks the pool and you can do some quite reading there.

Location of the Small Hotel is great. Just 3 mins walk to the Ao Nang beach and the town area is just a short 5 mins walk (turn left at the junction outside the hotel, in the mini-mart direction). I enjoyed walking over to the Tiger Massage parlour just beside the hotel - if only I could ask the masseur to come over to my hotel room for an hour's massage so I could fall right back into a deep slumber... ahhh... sheer relaxation!

Free breakfast in the morning was simple but nice and, I loved the omelette station. A very friendly lady staff preparing the omelette! You will find the usual stuff - cereals, bread, pastry, noodles, sausage, etc.

All-in-all, I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I do come back to Krabi!

Very clean, service very good. Very near to the beach, walking distance to ao nang beach and all the restaurant.
