My husband and I spent the month of September 2011 at Emerald gardens resort and had a great time. The room was large, well furnished and safe. The hotel manager and staff bent over backwards, to make our stay a memorable experience. We loved the quiet, the privacy the tropical feel and the quick walk to the beach. We went with family - 2 kids of 4 and 1.5 years each and my mom, 75 yrs old. We decided Krabi is not the place we want to go live in a hotel with long corridors, carpets and rows and rows of doors. We want nature. Thats what we got. Cottages are nestled in banana trees and greenery.
The staff is helpful and ever smiling. The massages in the hotel are good, although generally 100 THB more expensive than outside (but thats only $3.5 more expensive).
It has 2 medium sized swimming pools but unfortunately both are very deep (no baby pool).
It is located 600mts from AoNang beach - a pleasant 15 minute walk. Or you can take the Go-Kart taxi's at THB 20 per person.
I had read good reviews about Italian restaurant and tried only once and found it to be average. But I am a vegetarian, so my options are limited and may be the rest of it was very good.
When calling for a taxi to Krabi town or the airport, do not call via the hotel (they quote higher than if you were to do it directly, which is very easy to do at the Ao nang beach).
We loved Krabi, and we loved the resort. It was good value for money, and a restful, serene stay with helpful staff

Very good resort. Hotel at 400 mt. from the sea, with a tropical garden habited by squirrels,rattles and lizards. 2 swimming pools 1 near the restaurant (special italian dishes,excellent dishes thai) other with small iaccuzzi, rooms are of various types and level, but all are very clean. Wonderful the family rooms with a canopy bed and living room. Organize trips at cheap price,including relaxing massage in the gazebo by the swimming pool. The staff is extremely friendly and professional!

I really enjoy the stay in Emerald Garden Resort and I fully suggest it.
The room are so nice ad absolutely clean, all around a fantastic garden and the staff is one of the must kind. So pretty the two swimming pool and the surround is magic.
Please don't forgett to try the italian cuisine; spaghetti carbonara are unforgettable !
