For me, this resort was perfect in every way, including cost- it was great value & exceeded expectation. The staff are helpful, horizon pool & pool bar is great, rooms are clean & have little surprises like lights that change colour and an overhead rainwater shower... everything you need plus a little bit more. We stayed in both the normal and the pool suites and the rooms are quite similar with the main difference being of course, the pool. If you have always wanted to stay in a pool villa, this is a great and fairly cheap option to get the novelty out of your system (ask for one on the sunny side though). We stayed in both B-Lay Tong and also Burasari, which are quite comparable in terms of price and features but have to say B-Lay Tong had far more finesse, and you got the feeling that far more thought had gone into what customers really need, eg they had a computer you could use to access the internet whereas Burasari did not, just little things like that. Burasari was more traditional decor, and the gardens, pool and ambiance is lovely, whereas B-Lay Tong is more modern & funky. They are both close to the beach and shopping etc in Patong, but we personally preferred the end of the beach where B-Lay was, and it was really the perfect distance from town, far enough away to get a good nights sleep but not too far, we really enjoyed the walk along the beach into town. The resort is right across the road from the beach too, so you can literally step out the front door and on to the sand. Breakfast at B-Lay Tong was also the best we experienced in Phuket... actually probably the best we have ever experienced! It was amazing.... when we return to Phuket, there will be no doubt about where we stay! As far as value for money whilst still making you feel a bit special... this place is the pick of the bunch!
