We stayed here on Thursday 23rd October and it was a most disappointing experience. Rooms were very shabby with stained carpet and furniture with varnish/paint worn away to bare wood.
Friends in Japan made this reservation on our behalf. The only option was room plus breakfast and dinner.
The property refused to honour or recognise our Prince Club International Membership.
The dinner coupons had a stated value of 6300 Yen. What a joke this turned out to be. "Dinner" was an unappetising set menu with absolutely no choice or selection offered. Lump it or leave it! The buffet breakfast was however good. This property is part of the Prince Hotel Group but it is NOT the Prince Hotel Hakone. Anyone contemplating a visit to Hakone should carefully consider their options. Don't accidentally stay at the wrong property! There are two different Prince Hotels in Hakone!
