WHOW! That is the only word that comes into mind when I think back on our stay at Satao Elerai. The setting next to the Kilimanjaro is breathtaking and the staff is very friendly. The Sundowner and the night game drive are definitely a must do! We loved the place and will for sure go back when we can. Eric Stolk / The Netherlands

If you're looking for a comfortable and special accommodation with a great view of Mt. Kilimanjaro.. this is the best choice! The setting is unique and quiet. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is absolutely delicious! The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. From your veranda you can see Mt. Kilimanjaro and elephants, giraffes, etc. crossing. Fantastic!! It really was an unforgettable experience.

We were the four of us here for two nights after flying in from the Mara. The camp is sure value for money with a superb view of Mount Kilimanjaro from the tents. Food is great and the service friendly. Amboseli is getting better again after the severe drought last year. Plenty of elephants, hippos, buffalos, zebras, gnus other plains game. Birdlife is also good. We also saw plenty of hyena. A pity we missed the lions and cheetahs this time. Can't have it all. Certainly a place to return to now it has it's new swimming pool with a view to the salt lick with regular elephant visits.

Had a great time, the camp itself is right in front of Mount Kilimanjaro, I walked out of the tent onto the deck and it was right there. We saw elephants walking down to the watering hole will we were lying in the pool, glad they didn't try and join us!!

The staff were good, very friendly and the quiet was amazing, except for the campfire when we had "sundowners" on the hill looking at the mountain.

Really enjoyed it and hopefully will go back soon.

Last week I wrote a review praising Satao Elerai butu in the summarary ticked the wrong boxes indicating I didn't like the place.
It is a wonder ful camp full of great people to look after you, terrific comfortys, great wildlife and a benefactory link helping the local MAsai community.
